This is a great place to pick up a variety of European specialty foods. There are products for everyday and they always have cool and nostalgic seasonal items. There are all sorts of cooking gadgets and gizmos. There are lovely and unique gift products - their tea cup collection rocks. You can order online. If you are going to shop in-store leave yourself some extra time for browsing and a treat from the deli.Parking: The lot can be full during busy times so bring your patience while you wait for a spot or look for street parking

Great place, love going here! Lots of cute trinkets, candles, awesome bakery! I recommend their Kaiser buns, Pretzel bun, Eclairs, and both kinds of berliners! It can get overcrowded sometimes, and parking isn’t great, but other than that no complaints! However it is closed on Mondays and Sundays so just a warning! (I’ve accidentally walked there on Sundays so many times) Great service as well :)

I’ve been going to Edelweiss for many years and my visit there for lunch lately was very disappointing. I had the sausage and potatoes dish and found the sausage to be rubbery and touch to chew. The potatoes were bland and tasteless. My wife said the same thing about her potatoes and we both agreed that the quality of the food has slipped from years past. It was expensive to eat there and disappointing to have a lunch that was so forgettable.

These brats have the würst prices…I met a friend for lunch a little while ago (it was both of our first time there) and for how few people were there, it took a very long time just to get seated and served. The food was average and quite pricy for the portion size. I’ve spent a lot of time in Europe including a few months in Germany and this place honestly didn’t seem nearly as good as any of the food over there.Obviously, this is a very niche business that the average person would probably not appreciate/have use for. Unsure if I will return.

For German shopping this store is amazing. But the food service absolutely sucks! We would have liked to have lunch there but we didn't get to that.First we waited for at least 10 min. to be seated. There were tables available. No one bothered. Before us an old lady with a roller was also waiting with her family. Meanwhile about 15-20 staff were stepping on each other's feet behind the counter and the kitchen. We decided to grab a Ruben to go. We were told to get a buzzer and wait 10 min. We could shop the girl said. Well, we just did our shopping. So we didn't bother at all and left the store. I don't know about the quality of the food. We didn't get to that. And think of it $17 for a bratwurst is rather steep as for all the foods there.

Just a wonderful unique environment and I would suggest this place for anyone in or visiting Calgary to check it out. So much to see, a variety of foods and before leaving relax with a dainty with cappuccino. It is a busy spot especially around lunch so plan accordingly.

Today I bought a Schnitzel which itself tasted pretty decent until I found some eyelashes on it. The potatoes were terrible. The cost of $19.99 vs what you get is totally not worth it. Definitely won’t visit again.

Very unique place for German shopping, grocery, bakery and gifts. The restaurant however is not very good. Firstly we waited (first in line) for easy 7-10 minutes to be seated. We were acknowledged, but although clearly there were open tables available we waited. Clearly they do not have enough people working. Other people behind us left as they did not want to wait. Ordered 2 lunches; Cabbage rolls with pirogies and a signature panini sandwich. Sandwich was nothing special. Not hot at all, not a panini more like toasted. The cabbage roll was completely ice cold in the middle and the pirogies had chunks of potato inside and not smooth. We also had two hot chocolates. Both were luke warm and tasted like they were right out a machine, not worth the cost of $6.95 each. Our total lunch meal for two was $55!!! The food quality was terrible, way over priced and service extraordinary slow. Would not recommend eating here.

Bought some Fleichsalat, some strudel, and some Bienenstich Kuchen. And the oval buns.Only the buns were the same as they have always been. The Fleichsalat, the Bienenstich and strudel had no taste…Not good at all.. I have been a customer of Edelweiss for a few decades now.. and sad to see this downhill trend.. Not the first time for this complaint for me… will be back for the buns.. lunch and such, but the rest is not worth it…. New ownership? Too busy to care? Come on guys.. tighten it up.. you are slipping!
