If you want to eat cheap dimsum (price and quality), in a safety hazard environment with cranky af servers, then you've found the right place! Just be sure you make a reso and give yourself time to search for parking as the lot was so full we ended up parking on the street.
The place was so packed, I wouldn't doubt it was filled beyond capacity as there were areas where you couldn't walk due to people's chairs being literally back to back. Throw any expectations and standards out the window then you might enjoy your meal here.

The food is nice, but the restaurant is unsanitary. Lots of leftover food crumbs and stains everywhere. Tablecloth, glass, and dishes are sticky and dirty. Staff do not clean well.

Horrible, horrible, horrible. Forgot our order, rude, dismissive. We ordered 1.5 hrs before. They forgot it didn’t bother to send it to the kitchen. Waited 45 mins for substandard food. Will NEVER RECOMMEND - don’t eat here.

The ginger beef was gummy, the prawn and veggies inedible ( 4 prawns and the rest was overcooked veggies with mushy substance) the pork dumplings were cold and ready to be disposed in the garbage. In general, the food was overpriced $69). Not recommend to visit or ordered from Edgmont Palace.

The Dongjiang side dish morning market has many $5 special snacks, which are very affordable. However, the waiting time is a bit longer, it may take 15 to 20 minutes when there are many people. You may consider calling to reserve a table first. In addition, the dinner menu is also rich and reasonably priced.

Went to Edgemont Palace as this is my “Go To” place to bring guests and friends. Food is always good but they can get busy, especially for lunch. I have eaten here for many years and their food is always top notch and delicious . I bring my elderly family here as I trust their food quality. Well done!!

On the recommendation of a class friend, we came to try a Dim Sum restaurant, far from Calgary's Chinatown.
The prices are probably the best in town, with most dishes under $5. The quality and taste are quite good, although not the best. However, considering the price, it's excellent value for money. The dishes are fresh, the service is good and relatively quick.
Parking is free, although the mall has plenty of spaces.
An excellent option that I recommend if you pass through Calgary.

It was so bad. We went to have dinner at noon yesterday, Sunday, and there were 12 people at a table. After the meal, from last night to today, 5 people have had diarrhea and vomiting one after another, including my 6-year-old child who had vomiting and fever all day and has not recovered yet. As a restaurant, no matter how delicious the food is, the worst thing you can do is not come back again. It’s scary that the food safety is so bad! I'm pretty sure there was something wrong with their meal, the people who got sick were from two families and the only thing they had in common was that they ate the meal together. You can't see what the kitchen looks like, it must be very poor just like their service level!
