Was excited to try this place after my wife found them on Facebook, but the experience was disappointing. Located amongst a few restaurants, this place was located in the back so, a bit difficult to find. We were seated immediately, but then they seemed to forget us. So, we moved ourselves to where we could be seen. When the food finally arrived, it was plated with uninspired energy! I mean, I know we weren't in a fine dining restaurant, but the effort could have been better, along with the food! The Pupusas were greasy and 'the steak' was poorly prepared/cooked!

Sorry El Padrino, but you need to up your restaurant game, including service and food that you put out.

Buena Suerte!

This would of been a 5 star but the service was just not there. The food is amazing and the sauce was out of this world. When we went to order there were some key drinks they did not have the ingredients for so a beer it was. We got our food in good time and like I said it’s fantastic one of my favorites now!!! Buuut after ordering we never saw our server again; we finished our meal and was going to order more food and drinks but after 10 mins waiting with our empty plates at the end of the table as a signal still no return of our server.

First time here and enjoyed it. Cool atmosphere felt like being down south. Food was good and portions are big. Nice flavors. Will come back even though it's on the other side of the city!

I had been going here for a long time for pupusas, but they aren't like they use to be.

The meat inside use to have color and flavor, also the tortilla was fully cooked.

Now its white and just salty from the cheese while the tortilla was not fully cooked, and charging more for something that lacks quality.

I won't be coming back unfortunately, I hope they can change back to how they use to be.

By the way, I am not from any restaurant. Im just an unsatisfied customer. 😀

Service is really good.
The food is an interesting and really tasty Mexican/Salvadorian fusion with their 2 pupusa 2 taco dish. The ambience is really lively as El padrino plays they best mix of Latin America music 10/10 would recommend

This is our number one go to restaurant, me and my kids all LOVE the portion of food they have along with the taste, they have always been friendly when me and my younger children go in and we were always greeted with a hello and a smile. Staff are super friendly and anyone who is looking for yummy Papusa’s id send them here 😊💗 along with carne asada (yum).

We waited for over an hour to receive our order. I could end the review here, but more needs to be said. The pupusas we ordered were average at best. It seems like this restaurant used mozzarella, which is one of the least flavourful cheeses on the planet. I feel like el Salvador must have other more flavorful cheeses?

When we've cooked an authentic form of this dish at home it comes with some sort of slaw that lightens and uplifts the heavy flavours of the cheese and corn meal.

There was no such side dish with this meal. I cant just eat cheese and chicken inside a cornmeal pancake and say ive truly enjoyed the meal. It was too much and too heavy. We also ordered a kids meal and instead got s full sized adult meal for our nine year old son. He barely touched one pupusa and found the flavours not to his liking.

Sometimes there can be too much of a good thing. In this case its too much cheese and too much meat with very little flavour. We decided to go this restaurant instead of Vietnamese, because we have Vietnamese often. Based on the reviews we expected some really good food. Its a pity how disappointing this food was. It is also disappointing how long we waited for the food.
