Food was good, but there was an odd service observation. We ordered 5-6 dishes but forgot to order rice. Instead of pointing it out / making rice or noodles recommendations, the order was taken and food delivered. After everything was there we registered the issue and ordered, and waited as rice was delivered. I found this extremely odd service. Everything staff did was done well, but not highlighting a clear miss on our part leaves this as second rate service. Food was good though, no doubt.

I recommend their Eight Treasure Duck.it’s stuffed with sticky rice, salted egg yolk, scallops, lotus seeds, mushrooms, chestnuts, and sausage. The duck is soft, savory, and slightly sweet, really well made.The duck needs to be ordered two days in advance.

Got take out, was a quick wait and accurate time for pickup! Ginger beef was excellent, not chewy like most other places. Salt and pepper squid was also quite good. The wonton soup was decent.The beef in the beef and Chinese broccoli was very odd, but the broccoli was cooked good. The chow mein was extremely mediocre.

I have been to the Emerald Garden many times over the years and this is the worst experience I have every had there. The service was terrible. Took our order but forgot to bring our drinks. Had to ask for another glasses of ice water but only brought a glasses of ice. Then had to go to the kitchen area and ask for more water and another pop. Then, when I was leaving another customer had boxed my vehicle in so had to go back in and have the staff find the owner of the vehicle and ask them to move their vehicle so I could get my vehicle out. But, happy to say, the food was good.

I want to rate this higher, but this place failed my expectations as a 4.4 star restaurant. The staff largely ignored us which is typical of a chinese restaurant so while i was annoyed its not my main issue. The food itself was a long wait, more than 30 mins, and when our 3 dishes came i had problems with 2 of them. The first, Chicken Cream Soup, had no taste, definitely needed seasoning or at least salt. The second, Mapo Tofu, was also bland and the seasonings of the sauce didnt fully soak into the tofu, as well as the consistency being off (liquidy with little meat). The Pineapple Sweet and Sour chicken is as expected for american chinese food, but overall mehhh. Decorations were at least nice.
