We ordered a black forest cake and the cake was terrible. It was 'watery' and pale. I've never had a cake that was watery. Black forest cakes are supposed to have a rich chocolate cake with liquor soaked cherries and fresh cream. Very disappointing.

This is my one stop shop for bread, buns, cinnamon rolls and birthday care.I think I go there 2-3 a week and once you are used to their freshly baked bread, you can never go back to buying grocery store bread again.Love all their bakery products. The turkish coffee with treat is something I would highly recommend trying if you haven't yet.

I have been on the hunt for a good meal, I woke up this morning and decided to order from European Bakery & Deli for breakfast. I ordered the cheese and spinach Burek and Potato bread. I thought the slices of Burek might not be enough cause I couldn't tell how big it was from the pictures. Let's say, I heavily underestimated how huge it would be. First of all, each of the Bureks were so generously stuffed and so fresh and warm. First bite of the morning, I'm in heaven. I think this is the best food I've ever had in Calgary, especially. The potato bread had so much flavor on top of being perfectly baked. Nice crispy crust and fluffy middle. The prices are actually amazing for how much food you get, and honestly, one slice of Burek could keep me full for the morning and afternoon easily. I am so happy, I will never buy bread anywhere else ever again. They also gave me a free slice of Baklava and an adorable thank you note.You made my morning guys.
They have delicious bureks and chevaps here, we usually order the meat and potatoes bureks made fresh & in bulk for home. They make for an easy healthy dinner, just throw in oven and ready togo. Also highly recommend their desserts & turkish coffee, service is always kind & welcoming.

This place should have nothing below a 5 star rating. The reviews I read that were negative must have been more personal than business related because I’ve had nothing but perfect experiences here and the food has always been impeccable. If it bothers someone that the family is Albanian and from Kosovo then don’t shop here!!!!!! Leaving a bad review just because they’re a certain ethnicity is ridiculous.The staff are always kind and helpful and the owners and the entire family have always give above and beyond explaining things to me since I have allergies.10/10 !!!

Have you ever been kicked out of an online store? You didn't? Well, I am! I didn't even know it was possible! Since I lost my leg, I also lost the ability to move around, so 98% of my needs are done online. It happened that I could no longer go personally to my favourite bakery "European Bakery & Deli" so I would order burek, cevapi, bread and desserts via Uber. Lately, I haven't sent orders as often as when I used to go in person to the bakery. Just to mention that in those situations I just didn't leave a little (change) of money there. As they also carry other products from my country, I of course bought more than just bakery products. Today, as before, I ordered cevapi and buns. Quite hungry, I wanted to see why I was waiting so long and found a message "that I called the bakery and cancelled". As this is untrue, I called to see what it was all about. I think I know who answered me. After finding out what I was inquiring about, she just disappeared. Didn't even say "Please hold a minute" Finally a young female came back to the phone. She coldly informed me that they would not accept my orders in the future because they could not satisfy my taste. When asked where they got that from, she said that they saw it from the critics on the Uber page (thumbs up or down). True, they have a few negative reviews (not all). The fact is that they changed the way they make burek, so now it is no longer as crispy as it used to be but made with a thicker dough. In addition, it usually gets here - cold. Likewise, my favourite cake was not fresh, so I did not order it again. All this does not mean that I do not like their products and that they are not good. I was just about to send a larger order via text (which would then be delivered to me after the store closed, as before), but now that I've been kicked out, of course, I won't do that. Not now, not ever! In conclusion: if you don't like the food you ordered from "European Bakery & Deli", don't give it a "thumbs down"! You might find yourself kicked out of the store! Like I am! Shame! It goes without saying, I am totally disappointed. Of all people, they kick ME out! I am wondering if Shaqir (the owner) knows about it? Anyway, Thank You European Bakery and Deli! GOD MOVE!

Some of the best burek outside of the balkans. The spinach was tasty as was the meat. The potato burek was something else! The chevapi are outstanding! The kajmak and break taste homemade! Keep up the great work! This is a MUST see place in Calgary if you have a burek craving! On top of that, all the goodies from the Balkans are here on shelves to purchase!Vegetarian options: Cheese and potato burek available.

I got a slice of the potato burek ($8) and it was crispy and hot and hearty! No reference to compare it with but it was delicious imoOne slice is huge fyi - enough to be a meal on its own

This place is awesome. The lady in line recommended trying Meat Burek, and it was so fresh, crispy and delicious. They also have potato Burek and cheese Burek. You should try!! The staff is friendly and caring. Nice place.
