Famoso Italian Pizzeria - McKenzie Towne

Just received 2 burned pizzas, not recommended

Went there for Sunday Lunch and it was really quiet and service was fast and friendly. We got the famous combo of a personal pizza and soup or salad. The roasted tomato bisque was perfectly sour and sweet with great texture and the pizza dough was a little under salted but crispy and chewy, to match all the other ingredients like the salty Kalamata olives with sour artichoke (capricciosa pizza) or the sweet onion with spicy Italian sausage and aromatic fennel seeds (Abruzzo). Also got the fudgy brownie of the spring specials, with that delicious chocolate bitterness. Great meal overall, thank you!

Popped in for a meatball sandwich. While not as filling as subway for thd price, the quality is definitely there. Caesar was fresh, dressing on the side was a nice touch. Sandwich was good. Box is a bit small though and on take out orders they should 1/2 it.
I had to request cutlery.

I am updating my review as I ordered take out and sadly, the pizza was like getting it from a different place. Normally this pizza has tons of toppings and flavor, yet the Supreme Commander pizza I received for take out had about 1/4 of the toppings it usually had and not a lot flavor. The crust was not as good as it usually is either. I am very disappointed especially considering this pizza is almost $30.

Unfortunately on my recent visit was a real letdown because of the new staff (man)at the counter clearly don’t match the high standards this place is known for. unfriendly!! Loud and angular gestures. We know the staff to be very friendly and welcoming. I hope management addresses this quickly to keep the spirit of the place. Disappointed!

Visited on a quiet Sunday afternoon for lunch with two girlfriends. I loved the truffle wings but our pasta took long to arrive, they didn't taste great but was edible.

I’ve always enjoyed coming here and typically would leave a 5-star review. Unfortunately, this visit (April 30/25) was a big letdown. We spent just under $100 (before Tip) for two large pizzas, requesting extra toppings on both. When the pizzas arrived, there were barely any toppings—(a sprinklng of cheese and a few slices of meat on my husband's meat lovers) definitely not what we paid extra for.

I politely brought this up with our waitress (who was very kind and professional), asking if the restaurant had recently cut back on toppings. She didn’t think so, and that was the end of the conversation.

We ended up taking the leftovers home and had to add our own toppings, including cheese, just to make them enjoyable the next day. For the price we paid, this was incredibly disappointing. I’m honestly not sure if we’ll be returning. It was a lot of money for what felt like a very underwhelming meal.

Terrible Management for front of house and back of house

Went here for lunch with friends and the staff were so personable and welcoming. The food was top notch both lots of toppings — no skimping there! The booth was comfortable and we completely enjoyed our time! Thank you Famoso!

We love their bread. Personally, I wasn’t the biggest fan of their pasta but their pizza & appetizers were great.

Just wanted to give a shout out to the McKenzie Town staff for today as they did a fantastic job despite being clearly short staffed. You could tell they were working hard and it showed in the great quality of the pizza. Keep at it!

You can't come here without eating the meatballs. The pizza is top notch, and spaghetti. We loved the service they were all very kind and friendly 😊.

Never had a bad experience here. Beautiful atmosphere, great for both family and date night! The gelato is a huge plus.
