Tried the Fancy Taste of China for the first time last weekend. Excellent food and wonderful staff. We would highly recommend this restaurant it is the best Chinese restaurant we have found. Unlike a lot of Chinese restaurants I have been to the food is not over salted, it is very tasty.

I've been coming here for a decade. I'm a gourmand and I also love cooking international food myself. I won't go twice to any restaurant that doesnt serve 10/10 food that i cant make to the same level myself. This one does! The seafood fried rice is the best in Calgary and is the 3 kinds of salt and pepper seafood is amazing. Our waitress Lisa is so friendly.

Easily the most authentic, fresh, and well seasoned Chinese food in the south. Id put it up against any of the top places downtown. The food is so varied and not laden with sugar and excess starches like so many other places.
The service is also always so warm and inviting. I really hope more folks will discover this hidden gem!

Man, it's dangerous to have a chinese food place this good right across the street! We were really happy with everything we ordered (ginger beef, salt and pepper chicken, dumplings, fried noodles, and sizzling soup). I'd definitely recommend A Fancy Taste of China to anyone!

This is a great Chinese restaurant. Today is my husband's birthday. I called the restaurant in advance to request dishes suitable for a diabetic diet for him, and we ordered three dishes. I was so excited that I forgot to take pictures before dinner! The portions are generous — even with another dish I cooked at home, we couldn’t finish everything. The fried noodles were bursting with wok hei, the crispy fried squid was absolutely delicious, and the shrimp with snow peas stir-fry was fresh and tasty (though we couldn’t finish all the shrimp). As a Chinese, I truly enjoyed the flavors here. One bite made me feel like I was back in my hometown.
