We enjoyed a wonderful double date with our friends at Fonda Fora! The food was fantastic — truly some of the best Mexican cuisine I've had in Calgary. We shared the Fried Oaxaca Cheese, Guacamole and Chips, Ceviche Nayarit, and Tijuana Caesar Salad to start, then sampled a variety of tacos for our mains. We wrapped up the meal perfectly with churros and watermelon sorbet. The portions were generous and perfect for sharing between the four of us. This will definitely be my go-to spot whenever I'm craving Mexican!

Food as excellent, we had guac and chips, cheese and the corn ribs were awesome and highly recommend. We then shared the short rib tacos and those were excellent as well. My only complaint was the service was awful. Many times we had to flag someone to order a drink or more food. They were pleasant, but not attentive at all.

We had a wonderful anniversary dinner at Fonda Fora after having our wedding here one year ago! The restaurant kindly gave us complimentary sparkling wine and we had a perfect meal. Everything came out freshly made and hot, with the right amount of seasoning and flavour. The beef short rib birria was one of the best versions we've had in a long time. The portions were also very generous! The duck tacos for example had at least double the meat I have received from other taco restaurants. The cocktails were well made and delicious. We are so grateful to Fonda Fora for helping us celebrate our special day!

Our group of five absolutely loved our first experience here. The cocktails were so good and not sweet. We loved every dish we ordered but the ahi tuna tostadas were the hands down favourite. We had one with celiac in our group and there were so many options. Almost all the menu is gluten free. Our server was super knowledgeable in this too. We will be back!

The tacos (duck, octopus, and beef) and the enchiladas we had were excellent! And the desserts were fantastic: we had the tamal, the carlota, and the buñuelo. We'll be coming back for more. And for the churros we couldn't get because they were sold out.

We went for breakfast and it was awesome. The restaurant was very quiet so I don't think I would've needed to make a reservation but the peace of mind was nice. The food was delicious. We had the tres leches corn pancakes and the huevos rancheros. Our food ended up coming out faster than our coffees which was the only draw back. We only got to try breakfast but would love to come back for dinner at some point.

Lovely restaurant attached to the Westley hotel. The salsa tasting is a must have! The menu is made for family style, and doesn't dissapoint, everything was a good size for sharing and delicious! Hard to pick a favorite dish of all the things we tried. Staff were super nice, and knowledgeable about the dishes we ordered.

Extremely poor value. One cocktail, mocktail, two mains, and a starter was in excess of $100.00. The mains were about the same size as the starter to give you an idea of why I thought the price represented poor value. Our server seemed unhappy to be there and forgot our drink order. Food was okay at best, lacking boldness and flavor. Will not be returning.
