The food and service were excellent and we very much enjoyed the entire experience! A nice stroll in the garden after was also great.

We ordered the steak tartar, which for what you pay is terribly small and they served it with an entire bowl of gluten-free crackers! I think they could've been a little bit more inventive for a gluten-free steak tartare.... I would have preferred to eat at Eden (Inglewood) for their steak tartar! Totally not worth the cost for what I received.... What a letdown ! I've been here before and have never been more disappointed. My company had the pork chop..... it was dry and over done but because they were hungry they ate it, but told me afterwards that it was dull and uneventful and not worth $48! It's a pork chop.... If you can't cook this to perfection pink and juicy ? Well then you can't call yourselves a good restaurant. It has really gone downhill in the last few years. Big disappointment won't be returning. We wanted to return and try it again, but obviously regretted it. We have our usual local spots that we will return to.

Took a business partner from Mexico, he loved it. it was great for him to try somewhere still in Calgary but feel like you are in the country. Our waiter was awesome ! Sorry do not remember his name but he is from Mexico City so my business partner and him got along very well as they could both speak Spanish. Anyhow the Ranch never disappoints !

Overall, we really enjoyed our visit. We were especially grateful to be offered a table outside rather than inside the building, as it was quite noisy indoors and I had a bit of a headache that day. We truly enjoyed the food and the evening atmosphere. However, the table next to us was extremely loud — at times I could barely hear myself speak. I understand this is not something the restaurant can fully control, as it depends on the guests, but it did affect the experience slightly. That said, the service, food, and setting were all excellent. A solid 10/10 ⭐️— we'd be happy to return!

We highly recommend Bow Valley Ranche Restaurant. The venue is beautiful. Eating outdoors is overlooking a beautiful garden. The Staff are very friendly and effecient. To take it to the next level would be to put more attention to the details. For example to be shown to a table that is set, also not to be handed out cutlery in a stack. We still highly recommend because this is a very good venue and the location is fabulous.

VIP was a let down, broken chairs and table very rickety, rattan sofa all broken and flat cushions.
Most importantly two portaloos! Not like pub in the park where you are right by the stage and the toilets are proper nice cabin ones.
The guy who maintained the toilet is nice and he said they chose these not the cabin ones !
Juice is watered down so tasteless. No champagne either.
Staff are very friendly but it’s not worth the extra unfortunately. We paid a lot extra as we came with our kids. Not worth the cost sadly for VIP.
Remove the dull fake flowers on the tent ropes they look crap.

I have been here several times and have not been disappointed. I come at lunchtime and enjoy the express lunch as I get the three courses. Today I had a lovely green salad, a beautifully prepared pork plate and a delicious dessert that was just the right size. It was delightful and delicious.
Beautiful atmosphere and delicious food that is reasonably priced and excellent quality.The staff were very friendly and attentive.We look forward to dining here again and will definitely recommend to family and friends.

Extensive wine menu from all regions of the world. All combinations of foods are carefully paired to accentuate the flavours in the other foods and to give the palette harmonious and outstanding flavours. The service and atmosphere are unmatched and create an atmosphere where the guests are honoured and served in a friendly, but very respectful way. This restaurant is a rare treat for me due to the price point, but the value for the food, the service and the atmosphere are so worth it. Keep up the wonderful job!

This is one of my favourite places to eat in all of Calgary. Never had a substandard experience until today. lunch for 3 of us. Lunch pork special good. Special open face sandwich with egg excellent . Moules were a day or two past their prime, but I ate them. Kinda what i might expect from a second-rate restaurant. No empty bowl provided for mussel shells, so you have to root around among the empty shells in the serving bowl to find the last few mussels. I mentioned both of these points to the server, but while he acknowledged he had heard them, there was no apology or other reaction to my comments. Hope this is a one-off. PS the creme brulee was great.

Very impressive team and great food. Loved the decor and the location. We felt we had gone back in time with the actual fired lamp posts. The wood interior design and overall ambience was impressive. The team went out of their way to make our night special and loved the Surf and Turf meal, the highlight though was the dessert. Very few restaurants get this right but the chocolate cake came out and was a dessert and not just another slice of chocolate cake. Will be back.
