Franca's Italian Restaurant

Absolutely delicious food, fantastic service, and a warm, cozy atmosphere! This place is perfect for date night, a family dinner, or catching up with the girls over great conversation and even better food. I’ve known Franca for years, and I can honestly say I’ve never had Italian cuisine—or desserts—that come close to the quality and heart she puts into every dish. You can truly taste the love and authenticity in every bite. Highly recommend!

My business partners and I arrived in the area for another engagement quite early, so we popped into Franca’s for a beverage and to kill some time. The greeting we received from Alessandro made us feel like we’d walked into an old friend’s house, he was so hospitable and kind! He proudly told us about his families business and explain the connection to some of the art on the walls. We ordered our beverages and he told us about the fresh burrata they’d just gotten in, we couldn’t help but order one! It was delicious!!! We’ll definitely be back!

This is an absolute gem. We went for the Mother’s Day dinner, it was absolutely fantastic! The food is always amazing, you can tell Mario is doing what he loves etc but what really makes this place shine is the way they treat each person like their family. The customer service is above any for all staff

I took my 8 year old to Franca's as it was highly recommended by friends and I wanted to show how fresh pasta, fresh cheese and real gelato tasted. They absolutely did not disappoint! The meal was excellent and authentically Italian. It was fresh, cooked to perfection in a great atmosphere. The best thing was how welcoming the staff was to my son. The chef came out and talked to him, the servers were incredibly friendly and crouched down and talked to him at his level and explained everything to him. Thank you!

The food and the atmosphere were absolutely amazing. Honestly if you want authentic Italian food with a warm and friendly environment, you must go to Franca’s! She makes everyone feel like family ❤️

I’m a little blown away at all the 5 star reviews. We are from out of town, and our experience at Franca’s was subpar at best. And im quite surprised at our experience considering the great reviews and the referral we received to go here.

First off, 4.00$ for a can of pop is ludicrous! 8.00$ for 2 cans of pop between my wife and I?! What???

The service wasn’t very good. The food, was bland, no seasoning on the chicken parm and it was dry and overcooked. My green beans were like rubber they were so undercooked. Same as my wife’s. The meal was underwhelming and expensive. I had the chicken parm, and my wife had the chicken satori. The burrata was ok, but worth about 15$, not 30$. Overall a disappointment. I may ask for a refund.

We have found our new favourite local restaurant! What a beautiful and welcoming restaurant with the most DELICIOUS & fresh Italian food. The staff all made us feel like family; it felt like home. Our waitress was the absolute BEST ❤️. Franca, the owner and namesake, came to our table and introduced herself to us.

I recommend the burrata - it was to die for and a house specialty! We shared the pollo parmigiana and it was everything I could have dreamed of. To finish we each ordered our own dessert with a cappuccino (you MUST get one, it was divine!).

Franca surprised us with an after dinner treat - I won't ruin the surprise, but you should sip it not shoot it (like my husband did, LOL!)
I cannot recommend this restaurant enough- it is a must try in Calgary!

I visited Calgary and tasted the pizza and pasta. It’s really amazing. The pizza is so good as well as the pasta. It suits my palette perfectly with its exquisite flavor. Unlike most pizzas, the flavor is light and not overpowering, and isn’t majorly greasy. I’d definitely recommend this place if you are craving Italian pizza.

If you're looking to Eat Italian food, this place is amazing. It's very family-oriented, and the staff is friendly. The food is delicious. You won't regret it. Try the LINGUINE ALLE VONGOLE. It's 100 % recommended.
