Fritou Chicken West 85th

Definitely the best chicken in WEST SPRING SW Area. Chicken perfectly crispy on the outside and juicy inside. The fries were fresh and well seasoned, and I like that the menu has lots of options beyond just chicken.

Tasted so bad! This was the first time I had such a bad experience here. Went back and complained he told me he wasn’t going to give me my money back although I brought back all the food except one piece. It was thrown away. I told him I thought the oil must be old they were using and he admitted to me the oil is cleaned with some sort of chemical and used over and over again. I’m sure that’s the reason the chicken tasted bitter. Quality has dropped drastically!

I ordered again after two years and feel I need to update my original review. The lettuce was well past its expiration date and looked rotten, so I had to remove it from the sandwich. I also feel like the chicken breast used to be larger, though that might just be my impression.

I ordered the spicy chicken burger combo and had a great experience. The chicken is very good quality and the seasoning on the fries complement the burger perfectly. Definitely recommend!

It wasn't a real fritou chicken. Tastes like homemade chicken.

The chicken tastes like fish. They obviously cook it all in the same old fryer oil.

Store was dirty and the front desk staff treat you with contempt. Almost as if you disturbed their night by being a customer.

At least the order was on time.

Will never go back. Save your money and your stomach. The food was disgraceful.

Way smaller portion of chicken and fries than all the other location, you get double chicken and fries at saddle ridge location.
Chicken tasted bland and was dry, taste like it was fried last night and put in a microwave today .

Trust me, the chicken was bad; nothing but salt, tiny breast and hard, overcooked and soggy. It wasnt fresh either. Not worth it. The service.was nice.and the counter host was good. I would like to add that the fries were very bad too. Worse than McDonalds. I threw them away! They were so overcooked and full of salt.
Also, i came back home with a stomach ache and nausea. I bought a 7 up from shoppers to immediately help the digestion!

I like their Pizza deal. The price is reasonable. Their chicken & fries are always good. And I like their in-house chili hot sauce. The place is not fancy at all. Most customers buy takeout. It's especially crowded after school hours.

Always enjoy coming here. Service is always awesome, staff are very friendly and the restaurant is kept nice and clean.

Popcorn chicken is always a go-to for me, the fries and poutine are also very good.

I hate to leave such a negative review, but I feel like the quality does not match the average rating of this restaurant and I was very dissatisfied. The first negative was the price. I ordered the spicy chicken sandwich, and it was $10. There are many chicken sandwiches for less than $10 in Calgary, and every one of them that I've had was superior to this. The second issue was the bathroom; it smelled fine, but every surface was covered with grease or dirt smears, as if somebody took a dirty cloth and wiped the entire room.

The biggest issue was the sandwich itself. I didn't taste anything spicy about it whatsoever, the breading was not crispy, and the chicken breast was about 2/3 of the size of the average chicken sandwich that I've ordered at other restaurants. The vegetables were also very sparse. The only ingredient that was generous was the amount of Mayo (too much for me). The sandwich was cooked fresh which was nice, but I waited at least 10 minutes and they did not tell me there would be a wait when I placed my order. I won't be trying this location again.
