The restaurant and the food are really good. Everything tastes great and the place itself is beautiful. đ„
But honestly, the table service needs work. The servers donât really show much attitude or friendliness. Itâs a shame, because with how nice the food and the space are, it could be perfect.
The staff seem way too serious â no smiles, no warmth â and that kind of vibe doesnât sit well with diners. Good service is a key part of any restaurant experience. Itâs not just about bringing the food, itâs about having the right attitude too.
went here for lunch today. I have been to this location a couple of times. I have not been to this one since last year so I came back to see if the service was any different from the Mcknight location since I was unhappy from their customer service in that location
Overall food was okay. not the best but not the worst. tolerable basically.
Customer service though was never good. Basically the same from the Mcknight location. I am not sure if this kind of employees attitude runs through across the locations but servers would just drop food off without saying what food they were giving us. They never smiled or talked. its like they hated the world or something. I honestly think that this and the other locations should look into changing employee standards or training. Them having a face like they don't want to be there working does not feel welcoming, its not a good atmosphere to eat food either.
I went back to this location hoping that it would be different from the Mcknight location. Unfortunately I was disappointed that I even thought this location would be any different.
I will not be coming back to this location or to any of the other Fusion Sushi locations because two locations having this kind of employees working there can basically speak for the other locations.
It is our 4th time dining in Fushion Sushi. Celebrated Motherâs Day with the Family. Though it has gotten a little expensive but for me itâs worthy. Itâs one of my favourite all you can eat restaurant (japanese) in Calgary đŻ Still recommended for me đ
The staff were very kind and welcoming, but unfortunately the food didnât taste fresh. Iâve tried other locations and found them much fresher, cleaner, and more delicious.
Sashimi peices are huge and service is quick for lunch
This was my first time trying Fusion Entirely, and I ordered online through Uber Eats. When my food arrived, the takoyaki was missing one piece â it was supposed to be 6 pieces, but I only received 5. Also, the California tempura roll was a little bit charred. Attention is the best packaging the food.
Meh food but even worse service, this place has definitely gone downhill. 2 of the 3 service people look like they hated people & their lives, basically threw your food down as they glared at you and only 1 middle aged lady was friendly & helpful.
We ordered from Skip the Dishes. Our food came to us soggy and clearly reheated, as though cooked in a microwave. The noodle dishes had no taste to them, and the chicken was rubbery and sour tasting. The mushrooms in one of the noodles clearly came from a can. Aside from it tasting sour and spoiled, it was also flavourlessâ like no salt at all, nothing. We had to throw out the food because it was actually inedible. I have never ordered food from Skip that was this disgusting.
We ordered the spicy salmon roll which tasted very fishy, not fresh at all. The avocado in the tempura roll was brown and tasted old. We each had two pieces of each and had to toss the rest, not worth the risk of getting sick on bad tasting fish.
Quite honestly the worst sushi AYCE in terms of service. Waited over an hour for an item we had sent in and when I asked for an update, the teen waiter simply just told me order it again. We also received the wrong items 3 times in a row and on one occasion when i mentioned it to one of the waiters, he simply gave me a frustrated look and took it away before I could finish my sentence. None of the waiters acknowledged us when they gave us the dishes and all seemed to care little about the service they gave. Food wasnt too bad but some of the sashimi looked like they had used a dirty cutting board as there were specks of other fish in the salmon. Definitely will not be returning to this location.
Restaurantji Recommends
We dined in, the service was horrible ⊠no one greeted us, when someone finally approached us they made us feel like âyou look like youâre in the wrong place, what can I help you withâ we were pointed to a table⊠after ordering we ordered food, a few incorrect items were brought⊠we brought to their attention and asked for a couple things to which we were told it was on the iPad and thatâs all ⊠when bringing our other items it felt like the servers didnât want to be there and they were annoyed we were there . There was no music or anything at the place either. Overall felt unwelcome and couldnât wait to leave thankfully the food was pretty decent.
The sushi at this restaurant is top-notch â fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. The all-you-can-eat option offers a wide variety of rolls and other dishes, so you wonât leave hungry. The service is quick and attentive, and the atmosphere is inviting.
However, one drawback is the limitation on desserts. Youâre only allowed three per person, which feels a bit restrictive, especially when the desserts are as delicious as they are. If you're someone who enjoys indulging in sweets after a satisfying meal, this may be a bit disappointing. Despite this, the overall experience is still solid, and Iâd recommend it to anyone craving great sushi with a fair amount of variety.
I was really disappointed with my experience here. My friend and I both ordered the Sushi Combo A, and from the start, the fish, looked a bit off. It had a dull yellowish colour and didnât seem as fresh as it should have been. I'm suspecting that it's tuna because snapper sashimi is white.
Not long after eating, both of us started feeling extremely unwell, and within 10 minutes of each other, we were both vomiting. To be clear, we hadnât eaten anything else identical prior to this meal, so it was pretty clear that the sushi here was the issue.
When we spoke to the staff about our experience, they explained that âfood poisoning takes two hoursâ and basically said that everyone else here seems fine. Eventually the waitress said that they could only offer us 20% off our bill. While I understand policies are in place, and I was willing to pay in full, it was frustrating to feel like our concerns werenât taken seriously, especially since this was such a serious issue.
I hope this was an isolated incident, but unfortunately, it has left me hesitant to return. I would really encourage the restaurant to pay closer attention to food safety and ensure that all the food being served is as fresh as possible.
We dined in tonight to celebrate my mom's birthday. The service was quick; however, some staff had a bad attitude when asked for something. But this place is still my favorite to dine in for Japanese cuisine.âĄ
Soooo good! We always go for the buffet either on a date night or with the family for a special occasion. It's easier to get into than the one on McKnight so we drive in the extra distance from Airdrie. There is so much to choose from on the menu, which makes everyone happy. The staff are quick, efficient, friendly and polite. I can't recommend this place enough!
