Recently inspired by those old timey American delis, I was craving a nice hearty sandwich. Decided to give it a try. It was a mistake. Ordered the cheese steak. Not very good. Honestly, subway is better. The bun was cheap bread, basically like hot dog bun bread. Meat was dry and unflavourful. Neither seemed particularly fresh. The way the cheese was melted it looked clearly like it was microwaved. Barely any sauce if any at all. Barely any veggies. Overall just a sad sandwich. Yeah...stick to subway

$18 for Beef Bun and Poutine (since they were out of chili for chili cheese fries) Beef bun was good but small. Poutine was salty with only about a Tbsp of gravy on it. Place was dinghy. Service was ok.

Food was hardly eatable. My son ordered the pulled pork sandwich. Meat was dry and didn’t have any sauce. He doesn’t like coleslaw so you would think the pork would at least have sauce on it. I ordered the chicken sandwich. I literally could not bite the bun, at all. They forgot to put on any toppings on chicken sandwich. It had sauce on bun, chicken and bacon. Everything else was forgotten. We had Mac and cheese as a side and we both liked that. Definitely not worth the price we paid for our meals. Very disappointed

Wow this place has gone down hill! Spent $15 for a cold sandwich, with barely any meat and dry. Don't waste your money here it is not what it used to be even just 6 years ago, the sandwich had triple the meat and hot. Goodbye I will not buy here anymore.

Don’t listen to the reviews! This place is a great small quaint hidden gem near SAIT. It gives off a classic hole in the wall New York vibe. The seating area is a definite cozy vibe with a direct view of the Main Street. They don’t play music inside but the sound of the natural sounds from the cars passing by is oddly soothing. It’s a great place to study or to read a book while eating lunch. The restaurant owner is very friendly and the service was very quick. I definitely recommend the baked beans and corn bread. They were sweet and well cooked! They use really tasty cheese and a savoury bbq sauce in their sandwiches as well a pretty good brioche bun. My only comment would be that the meat could be a bit softer for the pulled pork but that could also just be my preference. The pricing is also very reasonable got two meals including drinks and the price came to about $32. The reviews are harsh especially for a place that’s trying to start out. Definitely worth trying if you’re a person that enjoys trying a new restaurant! Way better to try it in person!

Not a clean place. Everything was dirty from the counter tops and floors. But the worst part was the bathroom 🤮
Food portion was good. However the quality was bad.

Was very disappointed with the cheese steak :( Pulled pork sandwich was great but the cheese steak was absolutely terrible. Unfortunate.

Great place to eat, it's just a shame it's been closed for a few days 😩

The sandwich here was actually very underwhelming, there was little bbq sauce with the brisket and it did not taste smoked and was mostly stringy and fat. Surprised they didn’t even give extra sauce as an option.
Did not include cornbread with sandwich and side meal. The potato salad was unseasoned and very disappointing for an extra $3. Came in at dinner time on a Tuesday and only had brisket? Also only half the sides? Will not be back.

Excellent food and great prices. Parking is a little difficult but the pulled pork sandwich with a side of baked beans makes it worth it.

My first words about this place is DONT TAKE ANY NEGITIVE REVIEWS ABOUT THIS PLACE WITH DOOR DASH OR UBER EATS, if you're giving this place 1 star because your delivery was cold that isn't this guy's fault at all and you shouldn't be reviewing. Another thing to mention is price, this is a BBQ place, BBQ isn't McDonalds prices if you want McDonalds prices go to McDonalds.

Now onto the review; I went to sait as a student for a few months and I ended coming here for lunch at least twice a week. The brisket is absolutely unreal, so is the pulled pork, but the roast beef I found to be a touch dry on the cheese steak and beef and cheddar but this places brisket is so good, I can easily say this is the best brisket I've had in the city, it's fatty but not gross, it's tender and falls apart but isn't impossible to eat and the seasoning is DAMN GOOD.

I recommend getting a poutine with the brisket for 10 dollars for a regular size, the prices are so good for what you get.

Food tasted great but I could not believe the small portion I got for the price I paid for two sandwiches
