Yum yum get ya some. Good classic western style chinese food available here for lunch dine in service. $19.99 for the 2 piece plus rice dine in special, came out to just under 30 with drink and a tip, nothing is cheap anymore. Nice atmosphere inside with good service.

We do large gatherings and we are getting tired of being split over two or three round tables - restaurants like the Silver Dragon can accommodate us but few restaurants are able to make the effort these days.
Took some 45 minutes to take the order from one table and about an hour from our 2nd table. Food started to arrive at table 1 in about 30 minutes, at which time we were told they were out of the crispy chicken. Food started to arrive at table 2 about 15 minutes after the first. At the end we had ordered mango puddings for dessert but 10 minutes later we were told they were all out. They were running out of food on Lunar New Year's Eve? The servers appeared to have their minds elsewhere and were not very proactive nor attentive. The interior definitely needs a refresh, at least the floors and entry.
OK, enough bashing, we keep coming back because it's close to our older family members... and the food is quite good. We had everything from Lemon Chicken, BBQ Pork Fried rice and Beef Ho Fun, to lobster and fish dishes.

I am incredibly disappointed with the customer service at this restaurant. I called to make a reservation and was immediately met with rudeness. I asked for a 6 PM reservation, only to be told they were full. I then suggested 5:30 PM, and again was told they were full. When I asked for any available times, the response was, ‘What time do you want to come?’ This lack of professionalism and unwillingness to assist was shocking. Why even answer the phone if you’re not willing to accommodate customers? Poor service like this is unacceptable and needs serious improvement.

The lady in the front with glasses and mask is always so rude to the delivery drivers. I will never come here. She needs to know manners

It was just before Christmas so they were packed! Service was a bit slow for my pickup order, but because they were so busy I won't hold that against them that much. Food was great, the people were friendly at time of pick up.

Ordered take out ginger beef and lemon garlic chicken. Both taste the exact same and beyond over cooked and dry. The chicken fried rice was super bland and no flavor at all. Will not order from this branch again.
Great value for money. The prices are very reasonable, with certain dim sum items discounted to $4.95 + tax every month. Because of the price point, don’t expect luxury-level flavours, but the food is cooked well and satisfying. The tea tastes good too, which is always a plus for a Chinese restaurant.
The Peking duck is good as well. My family occasionally orders it for take-away. Again, don’t expect it to be top-tier or restaurant-showcase level, but it has good flavour and is enjoyable for the price.
Service is quite decent. The staff are generally accurate and rarely make mistakes. It’s understandable that service may not feel “excellent” during peak times, as the restaurant is often full, with many customers dining in, ordering take-out in person, and taking phone orders at the same time.
Overall, this is a solid spot for typical Chinese dishes, especially for those who haven’t had this kind of food in a long time. Good value, reliable food, and worth coming back.

Food here is not cooked with care. Peking duck was horrible. The meat was hard and not cooked like it should be, other dishes felt rushed to make and get out the door onto the table. Food tasted just plain.
Not going here again.

We had dim sum on Friday at 11 am.
Food was served very quick. The discounted items for $4.99 was good value.
Overall I’d say quality is good. But Tpot and Golden Jade are superior.
Service was pretty good - they were quick and cleared the tables quickly.
Ginger Beef is a good option in the NW area.

2026: I called to reserve a table on January 1st, 2026. The staff said it was first come, first served, as there were many customers and a long wait, but the taste and quality remained good.
2022: Come here many, many times for Peking duck. I can confirm that this restaurant is the best Peking duck in Calgary. staff and service are so nice. I'm always full and happy to come here.
