Ginger Beef Bistro House

Greasy everything. Almost $70 spent on take out today. No sauce for the ginger beef. No ginger no pepper flakes no onion and no green pepper. 5 spice in the wontons- no. What is the soup “broth”exactly? I will be bringing almost all back tomorrow. They can eat it or throw it out themselves but I want my money back. Such a disappointing birthday dinner. It’s not inexpensive to eat or take out. I expect better. Like it used to be.

Ordered 2 Peking ducks to go -- Still crispy at home and of course very tasty -- Nice that the "4" course is on sale at $60 each

Ginger beef is good when the sauce is on it rather than allover the paper bag. Ordered take out and was disappointed to say the least.
S&P squid wasn't even cooked sauce all over the bag and everything in it, unfriendly response after giving them a call to politely inquire about the shape of the order after picking it up and driving home.

Will never order take out or dine in here ever again.

1st time around on Sept27, 2024 when I patron the restaurant, The Pekking duck combo was out of the ball park. With Wok-hei in the fried rice fabulous and the soup was rich.

I went again today expecting it to be a home run on my Pekking Duck combo, and was disgusted when the soup served was watered down, and the fried rice was compensated with load of MSG and no Wok-hei. I made a complain and the owner James came and casually commented it might be a different Chef. I just threw $$$ to eat at your spot, all you can tell me is if you eat here, it will be a hit and miss commitment to the quality?

Worst food service in Calgary. I have never seen that kind of ridiculous service before. If you want to have a bad day, you could come to this place. Waitress with long black hair was super rude. Don’t come. All servers is in a bad mood.

NOT recomment for kids family

There was chairs designated for waiting but the staff hit my 3 years old with her three bags of take out when she walked through. My girl was just standing quietly there and wait. She could have wait for a second to let me pull my girl out of her way.

RUDE staff, rude attitude and didn’t even apologise to us in a good manner.

The manager came to us and said its a busy day. What!? So you can push and hit kids with bags when your staff is busy?

Please remove the waiting area if we cannot wait there. Please state ‘kids are not welcome’ if you are not welcoming kids.

We used to visit this place a lot but recently the service has been awful. The last time we visited, we felt like our order was ignored and that our presence was an annoyance. We came today once again and we weren’t able to get a table even though the place was not busy what so ever. There were multiple table open yet we had a 20 - 25 minute wait. The food is good yet the service and atmosphere is awful and racist.
