Ginger Beef Express

Spend over 100$ on a meal that tastes like a buffet or food court Chinese fast food restaurant. Ginger beef is hard overcooked beef breaded with the hardest coating almost as crunchy as chicken fingers. Chicken fried rice has a taste of tumeric and old oil so much oil that it collects as a pool on your plate. Sub par food for a 5 star price.

We have been going here as long as they have been open. Haven't been in 6 months, got take out yesterday. Paid cash, refused to give me the 10% discount. Rude counter lady. Food was average, got the #27, no sauce on it , barely and mushrooms. 80 dollar order for 2 of us. Won't be back..

The food is always excellent here. Our only complaint is being charged 15c for a paper bag. When my husband asked why, he was told “Alberta health says they have to”. The bye-law was repealed in May, 2024. This charge is the restaurant’s choice, and yes, I know 15c is a petty thing to complain about, but it’s the principle.

I’ve lived in Cranston for a decade now and this place is THE SPOTTT to get a quick dinner. 10/10 every time.

The single and the double combination dinners from here are so worth it. You get a great quantity of food for a great price. It’s a really good value. I like my ginger beef crispy and they always respect and complete my request of it each time. The vegetables are also really good. Good amount of sauce and nice crisp to them. Also, enjoy the spring rolls. They’re nice and crispy and not too oily.

So I bought a house in Cranston 5 years ago and I have been eating out of this place for years, Lately it’s gone down hill badly! Custom service is shocking and it’s probably the worst I have seen in Calgary! Christmas Eve I spent a couple of 100 so I ask the guy on the phone for something of or something free! He told me nope call back new years lol … after I placed the order, His attitude towards to me on pick up was disrespectful I will never buy out of this place again!!! He had a red hat on Christmas Eve hopefully management do something about it …best of luck … but you guys lost a loyal customer.

Eaten there a few times but hoped that each time would be better than the last. Most dishes we've had were a little oily and bland. Not much for Chinese food in the SE part of the city so it's better than nothing if you don't want to drive downtown.

Tasteless food so disappointed

I ordered a chicken fried noodle dish and tried to eat it the next day, as I had too much other food. It smelled and tasted bad and I couldn't eat it. I phoned on Monday and told them that it was bad and there was no credit for it. I won't be ordering that dish again and the customer service wasn't good over my complaint with this dish.
