We’ve been enjoying this place for years, both take-out and delivery. It’s nothing fancy, but it’s cheap and cheerful. We enjoy the Ethiopian veggie combination meal with injera. You can also buy a bag of fresh injera to use at home with your own stews. They also sell all of the Ethiopian spice mixes if you want to make your own. They have berbere (which is used to make the famous DORO WAT).

But honestly our favourite is to stop in for the MANY flavours of hard ice cream. Coconut flavour is EVERYTHING! And you cannot beat the price! Cheapest ice cream around!

I have never had a poor customer service experience here. Trust me, I’m very sensitive so if I didn’t like the service I would never go back lol! Everyone is always very kind and happy to see us, and patient with my little ones. And these are not people we know personally. I would say you can expect to receive the same attitude you give. If you have a good attitude they will too. And if you have a poor attitude as a customer, employees will respond to that as well. (That’s in reference to some comments I read here).

My kids love stopping in for a hot Jamaican patties and a delicious ice cream. I can feed the whole family for $25! This is our summer ‘go-to’. We love taking our patty’s and ice cream down the street to prairie winds park in the summer.

I cannot speak for the service or atmosphere as I ordered takeout from Skip.I was excited to try Ethiopian food for the first time.Firstly they had no Jamaican patties. The vegetarian dishes I chose promised to be full of Ethiopian flavor, spices etcThe exact opposite, bland potatoes, cabbage, overcooked carrots and spinach. The injera was OK, got soggy with everything on top of it.So disappointed

Delicious ice cream, nice family man; they are a bit nosy about your work.Check the ice cream cone before you leave; sometimes the ice cream is a bit old

I wish I had a picture but I usually order takeout and I crave their chicken dish. It's so yummy. The portions are big and if I don't stuff myself I have leftovers. I've been in the store before and it has a shelf of spices they use and an ice shop... Plus a western union as well. They had the space and used it all.

I absolutely LOVE the bubblegum ice cream! I’ve heard that the other less popular flavours taste freezer burnt and very gritty in texture, but I’ve never tried any other flavours so I cannot speak on that. However, this place has the best bubblegum ice cream I have every had (has REAL pieces of gum in the ice cream!)

Terrible Caribbean food, amazing African food. The Beef Tibbs was amazing, spicy and tasty. The Injera bread was a great accompaniment!! The ox tails were not anything like Caribbean ox tails, there was no sauce and not many of them.5 stars for the African food, 1 star for the Caribbean. Will define come back but stick to the good stuff. So yummy.Would highly recommend, just know where you are ordering from and what you want. You wouldn’t order sushi at a steak house.

Disappointing test rly. I've went to so many ethiopian places but by far this one is the worst. Just a no no

Just had the Beg Tibbs. It was so delicious, I asked for medium and it was the perfect amount of spice. Really enjoyed the injera too. It was so fluffy and fresh.

So I went in to get a spice mix for camping. Cuz I didn’t want to bring a bunch of spices. I asked the gentleman working. He recommended this being mostly paprika. I have no idea what’s in it’s I made fish tacos last night and put this in the fish & I put it in an aioli & I can stop. It’s soooooo good, I will totally be coming back as it is beside my house. I took the spice mix to work and shared with my coworkers it so delicious

Great food. Decent service. To those talking about Caribbean food well, this is an Ethiopian or African restaurant so perhaps if you want Caribbean food done YOUR way, go to a Caribbean restaurant. And the fact that a staff member does not salute you nor smile at you does not make them rude. People need to get this into their heads
