Authentic Mexico food at its finest! I’ve NEVER had Mexican food this good! Fresh ingredients, great service and reasonably priced!

Our dining experience at golden cactus was nice. We came here with my family for a pre-birthday dinner. The service was friendly, the ambiance was nice, and the food was good. Everything tasted home cooked, which could be a plus or minus to some. The drinks were good and the horchata was tasty. The seafood wasn’t over cooked and has good flavour. The restaurant itself could do with some sprucing up but other than that it was a vibe.

Overall, not a bad place to go to for a nice evening out! I would come here again.

I came in last week, I was excited for birra tacos, as they're absolutely my favorite. The beef was incredibly dry, and the au jus style sauce for dipping was burnt, so the tacos tasted awful.The waiter didn't quality check on my table, even though we were the only people there. (I'm a server myself, so I was dissapointed because there was literally no service.. at a sit down restaurant where normally people would tip). Overall wouldn't come back.

As someone who craves bold, authentic flavors (I’m usually all about Indian food’s spice complexity), this place won me over. Their tacos? Perfectly spiced! The enchiladas? Slow-cooked with layers of flavor that reminded me of a great curry’s depth.

I could not be happier with the experience here at Cactus! The food was 10000% ! Moises was absolutely amazing & all the other workers, I felt at home and truly felt a good vibe and atmosphere. Now let’s talk about the food & drinks. Food was nice and hot and tasted so good with all the spices, nothing better than food sizzling to your table. BEST Joint in Calgary for Mexican ! The micheladas, I could have 20 but my stomach wouldn’t be able to handle it. Best micheladas in Calgary !!

All in all 1000% highly recommend to everyone & anyone. Amazing amazing amazing !

Delicious molcajete meat!!!
1 star for the service because I ordered my michelada with the minimum of sauces and it seems that they put half the glass of sauces in it ? I had to put 2 beers in it to see if it was drinkable and even then it seemed like I was taking sauces and I didn't even feel the taste of the beers ? and the shrimp I had to remember that if I didn't bring ?

The atmosphere was fun and festive, the booth seats weren't very comfortable but that is my only complaint.

Food and service is great! Just sometimes out of things like Guacamole!
Once I came here all the way from work for lunch one day at 12:13 PM and they had the door locked and didn’t answer their phone. I could see them in the kitchen inside. Open 12-9 on Wednesday's, yet apparently not. Get here early because they close earlier, I think due to location. Margs are the best and a great size.

Amazing food, we will definitely be back.
We had the golden cactus molcajete, and it was delicious. Amazing flavors and meat, exactly what we were looking for. Very good value, enough food for 2, and a bit for leftovers, almost a meals worth left. Friendly and quick service, with some good music playing in the background.
