Recently ordered takeout and the restaurant was kind enough to come in early and prepare our large order so it would be ready for our early lunch. I had the steak tacos which were good and there was vegetarian options on the menu which made ordering for a large group with allergies much easier. I really appreciated they included mild, medium and spicy salsa!

I will preface that i love mexican food and have eaten food in mexico a lot, so I take my Mexican food very seriously.From the food, the shrimp tacos and tacos al pastor were very good! Probably some of the most authentic tacos I've had in Canada. The corn tortillas taste homemade, very good! The salsas/hot sauce were very good, a bit runny but very good flavor. The rest was decent. The rice was not good. Also, it was cold. Beans were good. Overall, the food was good.The service was alright. They didn't check on us at all after we got our food. And they don't bring the bill to you, which was odd.I'll say the Atmosphere was very authentic.Overall, I would recommend based on the great tacos al pastor!

I have eaten here a few times and lately we had them cater an office lunch for us. The food was absolutely delicious and fresh. One colleague who lived in Mexico for 10 years said that the food was very authentic. I highly recommend you try this place out and support a local family business. ?

Second time going here. Always ordered the Birra tacos which are amazing and get their daily drink special. Though this time, we also ordered the golden quesadilla again, this time without the plain salad, beans and rice. What we got looked underwhelming and not the same as last time. Too much cheese which made the cheese like a brick and smaller portion from the first one.When we got the bill, they charged us for the kids quesadilla and not the golden one.Great food, but do better and give what your customers ask please.

Had high hopes for Golden Cactus. Got the chips with pico and a golden burrito. No complaints on the chips with pico, or the burrito, good but not great. My major complaint was with the salad that comes with the burrito.The salad was plain lettuce with diced tomatoes. There was no dressing, the tomatoes looked over ripe/nearly spoilt, it added nothing to the plate except made me question food quality standards of their kitchen. Don't get me wrong, simple sides/dishes can be a good thing, but if you go simple, you rely on the quality of ingredients to carry the dish. Plain lettuce and spoilt tomatoes is embarrassing and judging by others photos, it's added to most dishes. There wasn't even an attempt to hide poor quality ingredients behind a dressing of some sort, so thanks I guess for being upfront about it.I don't think I will be back as now I question ingredient quality as a whole for this place, and it's a bit suspect.

Delicious food but pethatic service. They need to focus more time to getting food out from than kitchen. Service is very very slow. Even nachos took 20 minutes to serve. We dinned in on valentine's day and they had live performer for singing. The singer was outstsnding and made our night.
