Our new favourite spot for hotpot. Used to stick with AYCE places but this place is totally worth the price. We dont mind paying a bit more compared to AYCE places cuz the broth + meat options are sooooo good it outweighs the price.
Plus if you stay late enough for their happy hour the meat is even cheaper. But we usually go for the $109 combo with a ring tray of meat.
My favourite broth option is either tomato or golden sour and spicy.
Tried their tea + milk tea as well. It’s better than we expected!
Totally a hidden gem. Did not expect a almost hidden restaurant in the corner of a neighborhood is this good!

We chose Golden Dragon to be our intro into Hot Pot experience. My 10 year old has been asking to try it and we thought there couldn’t have been any better place for it after our experience last night. Now it appears we found a new taste for the whole experience which was beyond just getting served with some prepared food. It was engaging, interesting and almost felt like a sport associated with some delicious variety of meat, seafood and vegetables.

It’s a little hidden spot close to the Brentwood COOP. When we arrived there after a hockey practice at Brentwood, the place was packed. It looked magical with the lightings and steam dancing upwards from the boiling pot of soup base located center of each table. As we waited 30 minutes on top of our reservation, the aroma making us even hungry and impatient almost, thinking this calls for a not so good review was completely reverted after our experience :)
Not only they took the time to explain us the whole process, the service remained exceptionally positive!
Also, to our surprise, this place offers not only Halal meat alongside the regular, they also don’t serve pork. It was a bonus for us as we don’t eat pork.
After a full traditional experience, our total was around $92.00 that included a 3 types of soup base, pops, tea, bunch of marinated meats, dumplings, hand rolled noodle(you got to try this), udon, seafood and vegetables. We were full with taste, flavour and a whole new level of experience this tradition. This place seems popular and busy so, please make a reservation beforehand. And to our surprise, they not only offered us a really good discount and offered not to accept any tips to make up for the inconvenience of the waiting at the beginning was really nice touch to complete the experience. They cared about their service and that’s left us with great positive vibes. We highly recommend you to check this place!

Golden Dragon Hot Pot is hands down one of the best hot pot spots in Calgary. The ingredients are super fresh (especially the beef and lamb), the broths are rich and flavorful, and the service is friendly and attentive. Great place for a group comfortable vibe and everything came out quickly. We’ll definitely be back!

This hot pot restaurant is fantastic! The flavors are authentic, just like traditional Chinese hot pot. The dipping sauces are very diverse, the beef is fresh, and the portions are generous. Most importantly, the prices are very reasonable, offering excellent value for money. I’ll definitely be coming back next time!

Went here for the first time tonight. Food was good and soup base was good however the service wasn’t so great. The waitress told us how much to order as two people however we knew we were hungrier and chose to order more. when we did, the waitress came to us and loudly said that we ordered too much food. i said it would be fine and she said “No it’s too much” and said it very loudly i told her we were paying and I don’t mind the cost and she finally left us be. Then while grabbing sauce she said we didn’t use a recipe and made us show her our bowls… that’s quite odd, we used what we liked to use. For the rest of the experience she was very off with us and sort of ignored us. We ate everything and paid so really no reason to judge. We just didn’t see what the problem was and no restaurant should be judging individuals for how much/little they order especially when they’re paying per item. Unfortunately we won’t be back due to this.

Great hot pot place! The broth is flavorful without being too heavy, and the ingredients are fresh and well-prepared. The service is friendly and attentive, and the food comes out quickly. Overall, a really enjoyable dining experience. Would definitely come back.

first meal in Calgary. We came from BC, the best hot pot I never have. Love the Curry soup so much. Asian taste. And strong flavors. Crazy love it. Before leaving I will come back again.

been here 6 times already，I’m from Vancouver, every time visit Calgary. Golden dragon hot pot always my first choice. Compare last year. Now they have so many new things. And new soup, Sour golden soup. So tasty. Hope they can open one in Vancouver. The services really kind and patient introduce the new menu for my family. Will be back 100%
