Ordered chicken fried rice, beef and broccoli, and the chicken in black bean sauce. 5 thin pieces of beef, and 6 thin pieces of chicken in each dish lol. Wish I looked at the reviews before I ordered

Used to be good now overpriced, tastes old and nasty... I was charged a buck or two more than it was online but that would have been ok if it was good, I got ginger beef, pretty much a standard everywhere and it was bad, it wad like I took some supermarket stuff, re-dipped it in stale batter and briefly fried it... it was doughy and had a pasty thick coating the sauce was thin and had next to no ginger, garlic or chilli spice, I also got there more than 20mins after the order was placed so within their listed time and still had to wait.. it would have been ok if the product was good but this is bad. I've not been there in a few years so I hear they have new management... the oil they fried it in tasted old or the meat was older and it had that freezer taste to... as it was almost $17 i had to try and salvage it... I refried it in a pan with some garlic, ginger and a bit of sweet chili sauce and a touch of Sriracha and a bit of soy sauce and it tasted much closer to the standard you expect at most places... from a simple dish like this to be that bad im not going to be back, i can buy superstore frozen ginger beef and have a better experience

I used to love this little takeout place, when it had previous owners. It's a takeout place, so the atmosphere is irrelevant. But the food has gone way downhill. The springroll wrappers are too thick and tough, with barely any filling. It was hard to find any chicken in the chicken chow mein. The chicken fried rice had only a few tasteless veg and chicken chopped very small and tasting old. I requested extra sauce for the ginger beef, but they didn't accommodate.

So tired after work, I didn't want to cook. Stopped in on my way home. The staff was very kind & ordering was quick & easy. The menu looked amazing so I got a combination dinner. Great proportions and we were happy with the taste. My family & I will be ordering from here more often. Thank you for a good experience 🙂

New management, food didn’t taste the same. Takes me about an hour to get home from golden leaf. Got home open up my container and what I saw, wasn’t pleasing. Only like 5 ginger beef, they were small & the chow main tasted like dish soap. Never going back

Last Saturday, June 28, 2925, it was my worst Chinese food experience. I chose special fried rice, beef with onions and sweet and sour pork. The beef and onion dish had only 5 pieces of meat mixed with an uncooked onion, the special fried rice that according to the menu included shrimp, Chicken and BBQ pork .it was burned old rice with 2 shrimps only ( no Chicken or pork). The only dish that was at least complete was the sweet and sour pork. I could not return the food because it was already closed. I went back the next day and I spoke to the man at the reception , and he said I would speak to the cook. I dumped 48 dollars in the garbage. No surprise their restaurant only gets 3.7 in general

All of the food that I ate was horrible. I just spent 8498 and the wonton soup was like water. The shrimp fried rice was not seasoned very very, very disappointed. I will not be recommending this place to any of my friends and I will not spend my money Here ever again.

A bit disappointed in Chicken Gai Ding, the chicken was overcooked, and water chesnuts and baby corn looked discolored/less than fresh. Even since the management changed, my last order was fresh and tender, but not the one I got yesterday.

We attempted to order from our usual Chinese restaurant in Shawnessy on New Year's Eve, but they were overwhelmed and unable to accept new delivery requests. As a result, I used SkipTheDishes to find an alternative Chinese restaurant, which led me to New Leaf.
We ordered six dishes. The Sweet & Sour Pork, Pork Chow Mein, and Beef & Snow Peas were all of decent quality. However, the Lemon Soo Gai was a significant disappointment. As noted in a previous review, we received chicken strips with lemon sauce instead of the expected dish.
I've enjoyed Lemon Soo Gai at numerous Calgary Chinese restaurants, and the preparation is typically consistent: deep-fried batter over a plump chicken breast. This deviation from the standard was quite surprising. It seems the restaurant may be attempting to cut costs with this dish.
If this change reflects the overall direction of their menu and the quality they expect their customers will be happy with, I believe they may need to reconsider. I will not be ordering from New Leaf again.
