Good Earth Coffeehouse - Signal Hill

The lady was nice and the drinks were good, but I scanned my rewards card and it didn’t go through and I asked her to check the rewards. She said it was too late and had already been closed. I also didn’t get a receipt so I could get the points later. Not sure what the point of rewards cards are if they don’t actually get scanned correctly and the staff won’t go back to make sure you get your points.

Early this afternoon, I went to the Good Earth Cafe in Signal Hill. I saw their advertisement for a Mac and Cheese, one cookie, and one water or coffee. Price $14 + tax. See the attached picture from right in front of their till.

When I ordered, the girl tried to tell me that only coffee applies—I can’t have water. I directed her to their advertisement and said it says I can have water. So, she eventually gave me water. Then she asked if I want bacon or not, and she said the bacon adds another around $2 to the price. I again directed her to their picture that clearly displays bacon included in the original price. She would not budge on this. Finally, I agreed to pay $16 for the whole thing including bacon.

I tried to place this order before 2 PM but my discussion with this girl took several minutes before I could finally pay for it. Well, at around 2:07 PM, she came back from the back room to say it was past 2 PM, so I couldn’t have my order. Are you kidding me?

False advertising. Terrible service. They did reimburse me, though. So, that’s good. And the ginger cookie was delicious.

I'm glad the espresso machine at Timmies has been down for the past 7 or so days. It caused me to come to this Good Earth, and they're iced lattes are the best bar none.

I came in on sunday and Sargam ( I hope I'm spelling that right) was an amazing barista. Such a nice girl and does such a great job.

Thank you Sargam. This is my new coffee place!

This location inside the Indigo bookstore closes at 8 pm on weeknights . We arrived at 7:35 pm . Absolutely no one working the counter!!!
When the staff returned it was 7:42. Now there were others waiting too. No sign indicating they’d be right back or that we’re closed .

I asked for a drip coffee and she said, “I’ve already mopped and cleaned all the coffee ; I can only offer you expresso… we have to close at 8 pm . “

I ordered a skim milk express latte . It was delicious . As always .
