Goro + Gun

Ramen used to be good. I don't know what happened during COVID but it's straight up bad now. The rest of the food is quite good and the service is good. I just wish they'd reverse whatever happened to the ramen.

Visited Goro the other day, and I was very impressed since the last time I was there. The ambiance was great and our bartender Mayu wad amazing! The Ramen is a must!

My partner and I like to come here when we crave for sushi. We love particularly the spicy salmon sushi. I can recommend the happy hour. The prices are pretty good .
Taking out some stars for the service: our visit was not pleasant today. Service needs to be trained properly. We had a female server today. I haven't finished chewing my last bite and she started to carry away the plates. She should have let us finish our meals properly and not rush. My partner hasn't finished his beer and she came with the paying machine already. The restaurant was not full, there were some empty seats. And my partner and I frequently come here. I was pretty annoyed. This behaviour is unacceptable. She needs more training!!

Amazing must visit sushi & sake spot on Stephen Ave. The menu is is diverse enough to visit again and again without running out of new items to try.
Highly recommended is the pork bun (one will make you crave a second). My favourite roll is the spicy salmon, delish but I only found the spice to be a 2/5 level.
I’ve dined alone at the bar and enjoyed the local beer selection and the staff are very knowledgeable about Saki.
Another time, my wife, our newborn and in-laws had a large early dinner for a very reasonable price! Great atmosphere, we dined and laughed

What a fantastic lunch! Our server, Madelaine was incredible and the manager, Alex, was amazing! The food was 10/10. If I could rate this higher, I would! Thank you for an amazing lunch!

Would recommend coming here during happy hour! I absolutely devoured the mushroom ramen. Servers are so accommodating and the place is comfy.

Amazing cucumber salad, calamari. Spicy miso ramen was tastier than any other ramen I tried in Calgary. Dynamite sushi was ok but can improve on the quality of the rice. My first time trying Beef Tataki and surprsingly good with additional rice vinegar and soy sauce dip. Nice to have refreshing blood orange cocktail with happy hour price. Staff was friendly and attentive. Location was great. Dining hall was clean and had a good polished crowd. Furniture and food layout was cute. A little pricey but will go back with friends.

Absolutely phenomenal experience, lovely open concept allowing you to watch the chefs prepare your meal. All of the staff was friendly and welcoming, we were served by Teegan who was wonderful and so helpful! The food was amazing, everything was super fresh and delicious! We all thoroughly enjoyed our time at Goro + Gun and look forward to returning!

Me and one my friends went here for lunch while we were in downtown. We went at around 4pm on a Tuesday which is during their happy hour count which gives a discount on the food. Dishes didn’t take long to come out and tasted great, amazing service. A nice place to go to when look for Japanese food. I would recommend.

Have not been here in many years and was able to stop by during lunch. Prices are a little expensive but the food was fresh and delicious. Calamari was crispy and soft, not chewy. The ramen noodles had the perfect texture and the pork chashu was so nice and fatty.

The food was great, they have vegan options. We ordered edamame, ramen, and sushi. The service was great and the atmosphere was good because of the decoration of the place because there were not a lot of people inside. This place is kind of hidden inside the food section of a mall. When we arrived the stairs didn't work so we had to take an elevator and it was difficult to find the place. I
