I feel so lucky to live near enough to Gruman's that it's easy to find any excuse to go here. The food is phenomenal every single time, not a single disappointment, and the people who work there are all so wonderful and kind. You owe it to yourself to grab lunch here :)

Quality establishment. Full stop. Best cheesecake I took I've ever had. Great sandwich bread. They know what they're doing here. Service was top notch. They're not anxiously serving you - they know what they're doing and they know it's good. Lots of light inside and the place is full of character. Wide range of menu items with something for everyone. Plus many more frozen take home soups, bagels and cooked meals. Only question is why I haven't come by sooner.

Portions are small for the price you pay. Got a NY cheesecake as I'd heard it's the best in the city but it was average. In fact tasted like it had been frozen or sitting in the fridge too long.

Such a great spot!! Excellent service, great value. We had the eggs Benedict on latkes, was excellent, the knishes are delightful and the tuna melt is exactly how it needs to be. Highly recommend. Owner/operated is a bonus too!

Ordered the chicken BLT and my friend for the Montreal smoked meat sandwich. They were really good..... however, The sandwich itself was small and didn't come with chips or fries so we left still hungry unfortunately. In total for two small sandwiches was $38!!! (Including the tip) which is absolutely insane for such a small sandwich. I probably won't return with those prices and small portions.

I ordered catering from Gruman's for a party and the food was delicious and the owner was very helpful in ensuring we received what we needed to make the event great! Would highly recommend their catering services.
