Ordered the chicken BLT and my friend for the Montreal smoked meat sandwich. They were really good..... however, The sandwich itself was small and didn't come with chips or fries so we left still hungry unfortunately. In total for two small sandwiches was $38!!! (Including the tip) which is absolutely insane for such a small sandwich. I probably won't return with those prices and small portions.

I ordered catering from Gruman's for a party and the food was delicious and the owner was very helpful in ensuring we received what we needed to make the event great! Would highly recommend their catering services.

We picked up some meals at Sunterra and then realized we had never gone to this location of Gruman's so decided to stop in for a sandwich. (Briefly, it's designed more for grab-and-go). Does anyone else find it hard to resist any diner or deli???

Having been to Gruman's before, I wasn't expecting the Dagwood-style sammies of New York Deli's. I was very happy with the Reuben and egg salad we split, and my guest and I were both satiated. The portions are not overly large here, like at other delis that some may be accustomed to.

These are not Bahn mi prices, so I understand other reviewers have sticker shock if they didn't check a website before coming.

There are beautiful-looking soups and frozen meals in the coolers. One day I will budget to try those as well. I love the family lore and pictures that are on the walls and have always found the staff really kind.

We tried a few dishes from this deli and absolutely loved them! We started with the Matzo Ball Shooters, which had rich, flavorful chicken broth and perfectly doughy matzo balls. Next, we had the Potato Verenikes deliciously savoury with caramelized onions and a dollop of sour cream. We finished with the Smoked Meat Knish, which had a flaky, buttery pastry and was paired with a wonderful mustard. Can’t wait to come back and try their bagels and other menu items!

If you’re looking for Jewish food and some solid deli fare, hit up Gruman’s! We received good service on clean premises, and enjoyed some hearty food! We had Gruman’s famous Reuben; famous for good reason with tender succulent meat. The poutine was good value. We also noshed on the chicken liver and a potato latke. They also have a good selection of frozen food for eating at home!
