Worst food and service experience in Calgary Hakka Garden. Chicken pakora and fried dumplings were not well cooked. Then we got one hair in fried rice. We wanted to avoid it, but got a second hair. We showed it to the manager, but she blamed it back to us. She was claiming that as Chinese food is cooked in high temperature - hair would melt down and it is impossible to have hair in the food. In reality, ‘Hair does not melt in high heat’. She claimed that we put it there. She threatened to look into the camera. Then she claimed that we are doing it to get free food. No apologies, no remorse from that lady. 😢😢😢

We were very disappointed during our last visit. The food wasn’t fresh at all! It tasted like it was heated in a microwave. The noodles were warm and meat was cold. The pakoras weren’t crunchy as they were just heated. The service wasn’t coordinated. The waitress comes and asks something and then another comes and asks the same thing. the atmosphere was very dull. I wouldn’t go again!!!

It was my first time trying Chinese food with my friends. It was a great experience. Staff are friendly. The food is delicious especially the noodles. The soup was yummy. The star of the meal was the grilled beef sizzling. The portions are big and good for sharing I will come back with my family.
We had such a wonderful time here! The place was clean, staff was welcoming, and honestly couldn’t have been nicer—they made us feel very comfortable. The food was incredible, fresh, full of flavor, and just really satisfying. Every bite was delicious, and you can tell they put a lot of care into what they served. We ordered soup, mango chicken, kung pao chicken, fried rice and noodles. The quantity was perfect for 7 adults with lots of leftovers. It’s rare in Calgary to have a decent place for halal Chinese food, but this better than rest of the restaurants hands down. Thank you!
