To be honest it’s been a while since I last ordered fish and chips here, however the last two times I was there I got haddock and chips and cole slaw. The fish was delicious and not overly greasy and I had more than enough chips which btw were freshly fried. The restaurant is small and could do with a bit of an update, the service was good however each time I was there, there seemed to be only one person behind the counter, so if another customer came in and there were others already waiting it seemed a bit hectic. However that would really be the only negative comment and things might have changed a bit since my last visit. The huge compliment is that this fish and chip shop reminds me of home (London England) both in the quality of the food and the atmosphere of the establishment and you really can’t put a price on that!

Decided to look for alternative to Joey’s, found this place and thought I’d give it a try. We ordered the “Family Meal” 8 piece Halibut Large Fries and Large Coleslaw for $67, tax and tip $78 no drinks lol, we decided to go home to eat as it is very small inside, we unwrapped our fish and fries and noticed barely any fries certainly not enough for a family, I called the restaurant and spoke with owner and he informed me, Fish is expensive!! Ok I get it but I want more fries lol, it’s not even enough for 2 let alone a family, he said No! Only for 3 people! I didn’t know a family is now 3? For the price and what you actually get I would definitely go elsewhere, money is tight and this place is taking advantage of hard working people, never again.

I understand the fish is not going to be fresh since Alberta is landlocked. But the Butter is way 2 thick, which makes the portions of the fish rather small.Chips are not crispy at all.Had high hope for this place and was equally disappointed.
Great fish and chips but two - 2piece halibut and fries was almost 50$
I am huge fan of Fish and Chips. You get, what you pay for. So nothing to complain. Quality is not the best and Quantity is very less But Price justify those.Quick Service. I dont like it and wont be back. I will choose Quality and Qty somewhere else. But, maybe it is value for People. So 4 Stars.

When we walked up at 6pm, I honestly thought this place was closed. No lights on outside, nobody inside, and of the two open signs, only one was set to "open". Despite this, I tried the door and it was unlocked with nobody inside. An older gentleman then appeared from the back and greeted me.We ordered 2-2piece Halibut and Chips to go. Our order took 15 minutes which I had hoped was an indicator of fresh food. The packing of to go orders was odd (whole order wrapped in paper) but served its purpose. The fries were pretty good but really lacked any seasoning. They did not taste of old oil which is ideal. The fish itself was pretty dry and obviously cooked from frozen. The batter was good and not too thick or crispy. Again, no used oil taste here which is ideal. All in all, there are better fish and chip places in the city but this will do in a pinch.

I have eaten here for several years, many times. Awesome old school Canadian fish and chips, tastes just as good as they did as a kid, 40 years ago & 3500km away. The Halibut is highly recommended. (with fries and gravy, of course!)

Small place & very friendly here. Service was quick. Fish had no flavor and pieces small. Place needed a good cleaning. Would not recommend.

Got the basa and chips, clam chowder, and oysters. Basa perfectly battered and falls apart on ur mouth and the oysters were noice and big. Chowder could use a bit more salt.

The portions weren't worth the money. We had the two piece. The fish was okay but the smallest amount of fries that I have seen. They used to serve it British style and a big piece of paper with a generous amount of fries and fish. Now it's served on a plate and the portions are tiny.

Excellent family-run business of 25(!!) Years. They always offer a special for around 14$ You can order basa, cod, haddock, and of course halibut. They even have a vegetarian combo. Fantastic service and fresh fish with a tasty batter. It is made to order and you won't be disappointed!
Always great Fish n chips. Price is right. Staff is always friendly and sometimes the boss adds an extra piece of fish. Highly recommend it if you're looking for another fried fish joint.
