成都人不推荐!!
As a person from Chengdu, Sichuan, I would only recommend their traditional style spicy fish, although it was really mild in flavors. But I can taste that they are using fresh spice, not pre-made pastes.
I also ordered:
pork with garlic sauce - this was alright,
and Dandan noodle - this was nothing like what I’d expect for the dish.
I also found some comments really RUUUDE! Especially one comment mentioned that this place 比起那些南方人做的好一些 (is better than what those southerners make). Other comments mentioned that this is a northern style restaurant.
Mind you that Sichuan is in the SOUTH. And google map suggests that this is a Sichuan cuisine restaurant. When I asked for more chili oil with crunches红油辣椒, which is very commonly used in Sichuan food, they replied that they do not have it. This makes me really confused about what style of food this restaurant is actually making.
Also barely any service/greeting.

Han’s restaurant is a cosy little spot tucked away in a little strip mall in Chinatown. It feels like you entered a little kitchen dining room in someone’s home.
We ordered the spicy wonton, the chicken with soy and wine and the pork belly with cabbage. They were all delicious and not greasy with the right spice level.
We were there for lunch and it was quite busy. If you’re thinking of eating here for lunch, maybe order ahead of time for takeaway instead of dining in if you’re pressed for time.
I will definitely be coming back to enjoy some other dishes and a cold Tsingtao beer or the jia duo bao herbal tea.

Incredible. Flavor, portions, service all on point. Looks like a hole in the wall spot but easily one of the best spots in Chinatown.

I randomly discovered this place called Han Restaurant and it’s a hidden gem. Their food is seriously delicious. The deep-fried spicy chicken was to die for! MUST TRY! they’re crunchy, spicy, and just downright finger-licking good ( they have non spicy option as well). And I've got to give a shoutout to their tofu and noodles. They were absolutely amazing! The tofu was silky and flavorful, and the glass noodles were rich of flavour. I still can't believe how reasonable their prices are for such high-quality food. So, if you're in the neighborhood and looking for a great place to eat with reasonable price and portion, you've got to check out Han Restaurant.

We wanted to order a spicy hotpot fish with 2 bowls of rice but they refused to serve us since they think we just order 1 food for 2 people is not ok.Horrible service.

3.5 overall - a decent spot to go for some authentic home cook styled food. Flavoured on the heavier side for some things (not for the bland taste palette). Everything is reasonably priced in terms of Calgary chinese food (average $15-20). There is a lot of food with spice here. This place is located inside the mall and has many tables. Ideal setting for groups of 4 and less but surely can do larger tables as well.
