I used to go to this place a lot and loved it. I ordered from Uber Eats yesterday and both the Dynamite roll and avocado roll had avocado that were completely black in colour and inedible. Uber eats only refunded me $4. I have no idea how you could pack this up and send it, it was disgusting.

Good sushi

I ordered 3 sets of rolls and one set of sashimi through SkiptheDishes. I don’t know what’s happened but that’s the smallest and ugliest rolls I ever seen. The amount of rice is minimal and it was falling apart even in Superstore rolls look bigger and better made.Taste was normal but you would definitely expect better from restaurant.

One of the best Japanese restaurants in Calgary offering a wide selection of fresh sushi and sashimi with also friendly staff.

We ordered Deluxe sashimi and tasted the fresh flavor of the thick sashimi. Saba (Mackerel) and Hamachi tasted greatly fresh and flavor. My little daughter and I enjoyed Saba.

The taste of the rich udon soup was by far the best.

I went to Haru Sushi and Grill for dinner on a Friday night around 8:30 PM and found it to be a welcoming experience. Despite the typical busy hours, the restaurant was not overly crowded, which contributed to a quiet and clean dining atmosphere.
The service was notably fast and extremely friendly, enhancing the overall experience.
I tried a few different items. The pan fried gyoza was the only letdown, feeling a bit generic and reminiscent of something you might find at Costco rather than a specialty sushi restaurant. On a brighter note, the shrimp tempura was excellent—crisp and satisfying, just as I hoped. The spicy crunchy tuna roll stood out as well, with a good level of spice and the pleasing texture that its name promises. My favorite, however, was the rainbow roll. It was excellently prepared, although the pieces were cut a bit larger than I prefer, but the flavors were spot on.
Pricing at Haru Sushi did feel a bit high, considering the overall experience. We spent about $50 on four items, which seemed steep but acceptable for the quality of most dishes.
The restaurant’s location is ideal, offering ample parking which is always a plus. I would definitely recommend the rainbow roll and shrimp tempura for anyone visiting Haru Sushi and Grill. These dishes were highlights of our meal and are worth trying despite the somewhat premium pricing.

Good location with lots of parking, slightly tougher to navigate to as it is located in the back of a plaza but worth finding. Sushi was good and tasted fresh, prices were at par with similiar Venus and a good selection. Service was excellent and the place was very clean.
