Hawthorn Dining Room & Bar is a cozy restaurant perfect for special occasions. The ambiance by the fireplace is great for a romantic dinner, although sometimes it can get loud if large groups are nearby. The clam chowder soup is a delicious starter, served uniquely in a large bowl. The 12 oz Black Apron tenderloin is a standout main course, cooked to perfection with excellent flavor. The cinnamon cake for dessert is also highly recommended. The service is attentive, with Peter being an excellent server. However, some dishes like the pork belly and duck can be disappointing, with small portions and lackluster flavors. Despite some misses, the overall dining experience is lovely, especially with the added perk of free valet parking. While there were minor hiccups like stale bread and missed opportunities for special occasion recognition, Hawthorn Dining Room & Bar remains a great choice for a delicious meal out.
