First time at this location and it was great. Staff was kind and having a great time grooving when they weren’t busy. It was such a fun vibe. Food and drinks were tasty and reasonably priced.

I went in to grab a coffee quick yesterday evening and the barista working was so sweet and friendly, she seemed to be very interested in the things I had to say which made the environment feel very comfortable for me. Loved the music they were playing as well! Highly recommend

My friend and I were there this morning and we each ordered a bagel and coffee. The bagel was terrible. I have a feeling it was frozen and placed into the microwave too long. It was dry, tough and chewy, the butter didn't even melt on it. And no muffins to buy. Let's do better, for next time.

Great location near UofC so it can be a nice study spot. Decent parking and nice light in here. The tea, coffee and selection of gluten free treats are great!

Inconsistent operating hours. Online and at the door it says open at 8am, but some days (non-holiday days) it’s not even open at 9:15am. Very frustrating for someone looking for a regular spot if you’re not sure if it’ll even be open.

Reading the reviews off here, I went to this place on a Thursday afternoon. I ordered the Tuscan sunrise and a traditional macchiato. Upon receiving the coffee and sandwich, I was left underwhelming and somewhat disappointed. The coffee tasted bitter and the coffee size was wrong, a 12OZ cup is larger than this cup. Meanwhile, the sandwich was indeed delicious and the size is worth of the value of the price, however it was slightly salty and felt my heart was burning a little bit.

If I ever find myself to this place again, I would love to see the staff members make coffee to their correct size and taste, while making their sandwiches less salty. In my experience, not worth it for the moment.

I love everything about Higher Ground! The staff is super friendly and so nice! The coffee's and tea's are of incredible quality and healthy! Ditto for all of their baked goods. Atmosphere is cozy and there's plenty of places to sit. There's always free street parking! My favorite cafe in Calgary!

A good place for a coffee geek. Coffee is their own formula from Chronicle coffee. Chronicle is very experienced excellent staff check with John. My cafe was done well and definitely go back highly recommend

Puts out food with common allergens and no allergy warning. I nearly died. Who puts cashews in a carrot cake frosting???
