Excellent coffee and food close to the university. Only downside is the limited parking.

The coffee tasted over-roasted and bitter.

Their coffee is simply delicious.

It is a nice place even though I feel the taste of the coffee isn't as good as the one in Kensington.

Higher Ground Cafe is a great spot for coffee lovers! The coffee is consistently excellent, and there’s plenty of seating, whether you’re looking to relax, catch up with friends, or get some work done. Warm atmosphere and good vibes all around. Definitely a go-to cafe!

Great little coffee shop, great fpr studies or meetings, or just a catch-up with friends. Amazing coffee and great staff. I will definitely be back. Free 2 h street parking.

I went here as part of our sampling of hot chocolate, for the 2025 YYC hot chocolate festival. It seemed a nice place at first glance, and not much of a wait time.

After ordering, and declining the tip (since I was ordering takeout), I waited for the order to be complete. Somehow, people who ordered after me got their drinks (also hot chocolates) while I was told that they're working on mine. Once I got it, it didn't even look much like their advertised photo, or like the hot chocolates they had made earlier. This barely had any toppings.

It seems very unprofessional to serve such subpar food, just because I declined to tip. I've already paid for my food, and I would expect to get what I paid for, and not have it delayed in favor of other customers.

The only reason I'm not giving this 1 star is because the hot chocolate was decent.

Cute little place to meet a friend for coffee 😊

This place is absolutely amazing! I came by myself to get a cappuccino and while i was waiting, the staff was incredibly nice. We had a conversation about Van Gogh and they complimented my necklace and earrings. If I got their names, I would give them the biggest shout out. The coffee is spectacular and you can tell they put their effort into it. Absolutely recommend this place, 10/10. You guys should expand to the south so I can come more often 😔🙏

Great place for a coffee.

I love coming here to study, it’s such a cozy cafe and they always have good music playing. The sandwiches are yummy and they have good tea mistos
