I went here with my family and everything we ordered was delicious! The staff were very kind and explained the menu for us.
I'm very glad this place is open again so I can eat the best salt and pepper fried squid in the city. I'd definitely recommend the crispy chicken with garlic sauce.

This is hands down the best Chinese food I have eaten. The salt and pepper squid was wonderful, the won ton soup very tasty. I visit here every time I’m in Calgary.

It’s been a while since having dim sum here - overall really good value!

Food: we ordered the staples for dim sum. And overall it didn’t disappoint and we loved the bill! Partly this is a what you pay for, but overall it’s good. Some of it is also nostalgic for this is a staple in Chinatown.

Service: decent and attentive. Although some food took a while longer than expected.

Atmosphere: nostalgic and spacious. Quite lively for weekend dim sum.

Value: excellent value. You can’t beat those prices these days. Really good for what you pay.

Verdict: worth trying and going to support local and a staple. But may not be my first and top choice for dim sum. I’d totally come back to try their other dishes.

I recently visited Ho Won Chinese Food Restaurant and tried their dim sum. It was alright — decent variety and portions, but nothing particularly memorable in terms of flavor. The service, however, was friendly and efficient, which made the experience pleasant overall.

From my visit, it felt like the focus was more on quantity over quality, as the dishes were filling but lacked the refined touch you might find at other dim sum spots. To be fair, I only tried the dim sum items, so the rest of their menu might offer a different experience.

Ho Won Chinese is an absolutely wonderful place, the environment is so peaceful the service is amazing the food is delicious and smiles all around. I highly recommend this place.

The food here is delicious. We went there for the dimsum but it seems that dimsum is not served at dinner time.

We ordered around 8-9 plated food (we were a big group), and everything tasted good. The kids love them as well. Moreover, our server was very nice. Finally, the bill was under 200 and we still had lots of food taken home.

Will definitely be back to try the dimsum

P.s. the salt and pepper shrimp or squid are a must try
