Very delicious pizza with amazing service from the very friendly and helpful staff! Definitely recommend them if you're looking for a solid pizza in Canmore. Thanks again from the Plug'n Drive guys in the back of the parking lot :)
Stopped by a Sunday night in July - best season of the Mountain.Ordered Meatball as starter: sauce are delicious, meatball is well cooked, but not a big fan of the biscuits bread- a little bit chewyOrdered The Super Pizza. Pepperonis bacon mushroom and green peppers. The pizza smells very nice and taste very nice. The pizza dough is thin style, tender inside and crispy outside. Recommend the house hot sauce and honey hot sauce- if you like chilies, a fun way to dip your pizza crust in.Our waitress is a super nice girl and works very hard. It used to be hodge head bar and I have to say it is a nice change over.
I have been here three times and have never been disappointed. The pizza in the square is awesome and the 14 "pizza is great because everyone gets more than just full. The waiters are also very friendly and all my experiences were very good.On Canada day it was very busy and the waiters did a good job, always friendly and didn't convey any stress even if it took longer on that day to get the menu.I can recommend it and i will visit it again.Try it?
This was the best Detroit style pizza I’ve ever had. The quality of the ingredients on this pizza impressed me. Very friendly staff as well. Wish I had this all the time!
I had an amazing time at Woodward. My group and I stopped by as a last minute decision and we were very happy with the choice. The pizza is delicious. It has a great sauce flavour and the outside of the pizza is crispy while the inside is soft and flavourful. They also have delicious cocktails that were an excellent complement to the pizza. If you are ever stopping by, you need to stop at Woodward! You won’t regret it.
After a nice walk along the river I found myself being steered into the direction of this delicious pizza spot. Service was excellent and the pizza was amazing. Had the Ambassador Bridge pizza what a treat the creamy ricotta and delicious pizza sauce was very comforting. The pizza crust was crispy and pillowy. Will definitely come back to this spot ?
Wow! What an amazing pizza and drinks! The staff were wonderful from the moment we walked in. Great recommendations from the staff. We had thoroughly enjoyed our dinner. Will be back if we're in town. Thank you!
Amazing service! Reasonable price… good vibe, and… outstanding Detroit style pizza. It’s an easy pick for lunch or evening hockey game. Highly recommended.
The Blown Gasket Lager and a Woodward with mushrooms didn’t disappoint. Others in our party had the 313, Ambassador Bridge and Smoky and the Bandit and all said they’d have it again. Our food could have been a little hotter but this is minor as I didn’t end up with a cheese burnt tongue which usually happens when I eat pizza :p
I ordered the Woodward and absolutely loved it. Quality ingredients, awesome crispy crust, delicious sauce. Definitely a must stop if you’re visiting Canmore. They make some good in house hot sauces as well

Really great pizza. Just what we needed after a long hike. Nice thick dough, super cheesy and delicious. Service was amazing and their house made hot sauces were amazing too; give the honey hot cause a try for sure!
This was an amazing pizza....staff was super friendly and the Detroit pizza, which we had never had, was so tasty with fresh ingredients...I will definitely be returning...
Just found out about Woodward, as a girl from Windsor I was very excited to try out their pizza. I was not disappointed. I got the Ambassador Bridge Pizza - delicious. Friendly service too. I heard they may be bringing a Windsor style pizza to the menu too! Can’t wait for that!!
As a local I never frequented the restaurant when it was Hogshead. However, the newer Woodward’s restaurant piqued my interest with their “Detroit Style” pizza advertising. I cannot eat anything acidic so most pizza is off my list (due to the tomato sauce). White sauce pizza is generally okay but lacks personality most of the time. I decided to try The Pinto pizza because it sounded unique and delicious! It offers hummus as the base along with a signature cheese blend, roasted garlic cloves, caramelized onions and balsamic drizzle. I had to forgo the balsamic drizzle (that dang acid intolerance thing again). The crust was thick and crispy (not just the edges but the entire bottom had a satisfying crunch) and the thin layer of hummus paired beautifully with the cheese blend. The caramelized onions and roasted garlic cloves were plentiful and gave the pizza a rustic flavour that melted in my mouth with every bite! The only downside was that the pizza was a tad salty because there was no balsamic vinegar to cut through it and balance it out. That was on me though, not the restaurant. I think if some fresh arugula was added it would bring a slight kick to the pizza and elevate it even further. I think I may see if next time it can be added. The service was wonderful (I chose takeout) and I was told that they can make any pizza tomato sauce free…I will definitely eat the pizza here again!
Top notch food and service and doesn't bow to antivaxers and their hate speech.
