Pros: good atmosphere and normally pretty busy. Really good pricesCons: the food is terrible. I understand that the prices are low and “you get what you pay for”. But man is the food bad. Beers on tap are a bit flat and the service is very slow. They always seem to be a server short.

Came from Sasky, this bar was legit. Jealous we don’t have one back home. Will be back when the Riders are in

Pretty dingy bar. Bathrooms were horrible, music was way too loud even for club/bar standards but the staff were pretty friendly.

For a place that calls itself the place "Where Sports Fans Come to Play" they certainly don't mean golf.I met a bunch of friends there this afternoon after we all agreed that this place was the best place in town to go watch a major golf tournament (The Players. One of only 4 majors every year with all of the top 20 golfers playing) and to our genuine dismay, not only weren't they showing it at 3:30 in the afternoon when most every Earls, Moxies, and neighborhood pub in town certainly would be, they couldn't even find it and in fact, don't even have the Golf Channel on their cable package (which was a pre-digital Shaw subscription that I hadn't seen for at least 3 years in mine or any regular cable subscribers' house. I didn't know that you could even still get that ancient package). We had a couple of rounds then disbursed to go on and watch it at home in 4K. Not the fun sports pub experience we were looking for. I am very disappointed because this place has long been known as the only true sports bar left in Calgary but I guess not.The waitress and bartender were lovely and very apologetic however even though it wasn't their faults so I give those folks the credit that I can at least.Parking: Very few public parking spots in the area unless you work in one of the surrounding buildings. Fend for yourself finding a relatively rare, open, metered space on the streets nearby.

Tried it on a Saturday afternoon because Leopold’s was closed for renovations, and was pleasantly surprised by how good the food and service was!

Home and away Calgary. What a venue. The music doesn't miss. The chicken wings are easily the best in the city (I had them 4 times, I can say this with confidence). The beer selection is incredible. The vibe is added to by the great staff, shoutout Gaby especially, all the staff go out of their way to make sure you're comfortable. 10/10.

Pizza was excellent, Ol' Beautiful Brass Monkey was a great beer, but the best thing about Home and Away was the friendliness and service provided by Gabby. When in Calgary highly recommend you visit Home and Away for food and beverages. Five stars and next time in Calgary I will definitely be visiting this establishment again!!! Thank you very much Gabby!!!!!

We had Wings Night tonight and is a must-try for any wing enthusiast! The wings were cooked to perfection, with a crispy exterior and tender, juicy meat. The variety of flavors available was impressive, ranging from classic salt and pepper to unique and creative options like honey hot and homestyle chipotle aioli. Each bite was bursting with flavor, leaving me craving more!In addition to their wings, we decided to try their pizza, and it did not disappoint. The crust was fluffy and crispy, the toppings were generous, and the combination of flavors was simply mouthwatering.Overall, we had a delightful experience. The combination of flavorful wings, delicious pizza, welcoming atmosphere, and attentive service made it a memorable evening. I highly recommend this bar to anyone looking for a great place to unwind, enjoy good food, and create lasting memories.Updated: We opted to experience taco night, where the all-you-can-eat taco option costs $16 per person, excluding sauce. The taco was good, nothing extraordinary. However, it was surprising to discover that the sauce came at an additional cost when we received the bill. Although the sauce wasn't expensive, we felt the waitstaff should have informed us beforehand that it wasn't included in the price. Overall, I still love this bar and definitely come back again.
