The meat alternatives here are fantastic and I was incredibly happy to finally have dim sum alongside my girlfriend who's vegetarian. The vegan chasu bao, crispy chicken wings, Siu mai and sticky rice were all very well done and taste surprisingly close to the real deal- my favorite in the end was the Congee as it hits home and is one of my favorite dishes. The owner runs this place by herself, and Christina is an incredibly resilient chef with a passion and love for cooking. Could not believe she is in her 70s! She makes everything personally and you can tell how much love she puts into these dishes. Highly recommend!

FANTASTIC, it’s all in the name. Truly homey, it’s all run by a single woman. Her kitchen is in full view, you watch her cook and she loves to chat. Everything on the menu is vegan, and there’s a sizeable shopping selection of vegan snacks and cooking ingredients.

Homey is the 1 place I will always stop at when passing through Calgary! The owner is so sweet and attentive and I feel like I'm eating at my auntie's house, in the best way. The food is prepared with love and noodles are hand pulled. The hot pot is so comforting and so reasonably priced, hard to come by these days. They have an amazing grocery section with vegan products that are hard to find, like Kings brand items (the Kings bacon is the best vegan bacon ever). The city is lucky to have this unique restaurant.😊

Just visited homey cafe to pick up some vegan groceries and tried the lotus leaf sticky rice on the recommendation of the lovely owner. The sticky rice was amazing, plus the sheer hardwork and dedication of the owner makes me want to come bacj here and try as much as possible from her menu.

If you're vegan or vegetarian you need to try this place! We got hot pot and let the owner choose our ingredients. The vegan pork belly and beef were the best. The owner is very friendly and I can't wait to go back next time I'm in Calgary. There is also a grocery section with frozen fake meats.

My absolutely favorite vegan restaurant in Calgary!!! The owner is such a lovely person and the food is top tier! I plan to try everything on the menu that I can (gluten allergy). I have enjoyed every meal I have tried so far!

She made us a Peking duck and it was amazing, and I didn't even know you could make a vegan Peking duck. We will definitely be back on a regular basis because I would love nothing more than to spend our money local and somewhere that makes such delicous food.
