As a vegan, I used to love hooplas vegan donuts. Although the vegan flavours weren’t always the best selection I was happy with a vanilla sprinkle. Unfortunately they have gone down hill. They used to be a good donut texture and flavour, now they are a weird combination of cake-like texture and flavour kind of reminiscent of those cheap cinnamon donuts you can get at carnivals. In addition, the size of the vegan donuts used to be the same as the non-vegan donuts but now they are about two thirds the size as the non-vegan ones! I have a picture of what they used to look like (with the coffee) vs the one I got today (comparing to a non-vegan dunkaroo one). Sad. Not many options for vegan donuts and now I won’t be coming back to hoopla because the vegan donuts just aren’t very good anymore. In addition, the woman taking my order seemed like she would rather be anywhere else and was mildly annoyed.

I wanted to try them out even with the bad reviews on here but sadly i should have listened. I had a double chocolate cookie and a mocha donut but for some reason they both had a hint of lemon flavor. Not the best tasting and definitely not fresh. Im guessing they were sitting beside something lemon flavored. Either way i didn't want a stale lemon chocolate cookie or donut.
The iced mocha i had was good though

Expensive donuts for what you get. Guy at the counter had real attitude and we were simply asking about the different flavours of the donuts

They ran out of Doughnuts at 1:00pm on a Thursday. They said I should have emailed them before coming. I should not have to call/email ahead to have a doughnut....

Love these guys !?? Always fresh, scrumptious, and heavenly the best.As someone who hates overly sweetened goods, these donuts are not drenched in syrups or sugars. This is what makes them unique - high quality , elegantly sweet, crisp and otherworldly. Surprised with some of these negative reviews and from what I gather, most were expecting a heavily sweet donut. As a baker, I have a strong distaste for cheaply sweet baked goods, and so I could tell right away these donuts were made with high quality ingredients. * chefs kiss * Also, Thank You for also taking the time to write such a heartwarming note on my Uber order - I felt that connection and I apprectiate the detail to the extra drawing you made. Wishing you all continued success and keep spreading that love ! ?

They’ve taken away all the good flavours and replaced them with crap… not a fan anymore tbh

Despite the bad reviews, I decided to check this place out because its the only donut place walking distance from my home. I noticed there was a dog park literally in front of the donut place so I took my small emotional support dog with me. I was denied entry at Hoopla in a very rude and hysterical manner. They didn’t even allow me to buy a donut and leave, or eat outside. I suppose there must be a lot of dog walkers that get denied entry, as the place is in front of a dog park. Maybe I was “saved” from eating a bad, overpriced donut, as the other reviews state.Edit:They contacted me about my experience there and apologized for it. They gave me a $20 credit for me to try to donuts and I have to disagree with the other reviews because the donuts are actually really good. I tried the maple and the pink one, the pink was my favourite, really tasted like real strawberry not natural flavours. I’ll come back again.
Vegetarian options: Lots of vegan donuts

If you are looking for overpriced, flavourless, and terrible dough donuts, look no further! How someone can mess up chocolate donut is beyond me. I guess anyone can have a business nowadays. Worst donuts ever. Zero star.

Not alot of choices. Was not acknowledged by the server until I decided what to get. Almost left not getting anything. Bought a churro donut. A kronut. And a blueberry cheesecake. Not the best I've ever had, probably a one time only visit.
Nice when they have vegan donuts, but you can't rely on them having options. Went amd they didn't make any that day.
Excellent! Donuts!
Consistent and full of sugar!
Not impressed. Ordered a 6 pack of Hoopla donuts today with some Phil & Sebastians coffee. Not ONE of the half dozen was an approachable traditional donut flavour and I can see from their website that they have sour cream glazed, Boston cream, sprinkled etc. It was like they took all the unpopular seasonal experiments and unloaded them on us bc we were a delivery order. 4/6 had cloyingly sweet glazes of bizarre fruit flavours. Watermelon probably being the least palatable, followed by the cereal milk donut thats tastes awfully like melon too. We tried a bite of each but all but one (maple) ended up in the trash. Which sucks, because they charge $25 for a half dozen. Tim’s has better donuts for a fraction of the cost. The box is cool and the donuts LOOK beautiful, but it’s like making them taste good wasn’t a priority.
