I am not sure why this location is so different from the others. The service has been awful every time I come in. The staff here are so arrogant and miserable, even for being in Bridgeland lol. We are talking Vancouver levels of misery. I dont know if its related to job satisfaction/compensation/work load or if they are just entitled miserable people. Regardless its very sad and I hope they find some joy in life outside of work. To the staff - life is short, make the most of it ...Something, something.... its the life in the years not the years in the life or whatever. To potential customers, if you like the vibes of Vancouver this is the place to get a good coffee and donut. If you prefer Calgary's standard friendly vibes then be warned you likely won't find that here (just this location). To P&S This is a prime location and should be a shining example of Calgary's hospitality culture. I believe you can get things turned around. I'll even come back in a few months to see if things have improved because I believe in yall!

Awesome selection and great service

I noticed advertisements for this establishment on my Instagram feed and decided to visit. The doughnut selection was limited, but I arrived late in the day, so I was prepared for a smaller selection. As it was 2 p.m. and they close at 4:30 p.m., I was able to purchase four doughnuts that were exceptionally delicious. The flavour was outstanding and the doughnuts were fresh.

I highly recommend trying these doughnuts if you haven’t yet in YYC. I intend to return.

This used to be our favorite spot for vegan donuts — they were soft, flavorful, and easily the best in town. My husband has a dairy and egg allergy, so this was one of the few places where he could actually enjoy a treat without worry. Unfortunately, since they changed the recipe, the donuts just aren’t the same.

They’re smaller, denser, and have lost the great flavor and texture they used to have. There are also fewer vegan options now, and the remaining ones have been combined with the gluten-free recipes, which has really affected the quality. The new version is dry and crumbly, and sadly, my husband doesn’t even like them anymore. This change seems like a way for Hoopla to cut costs and combine dietary restrictions which is very unfortunate.

It’s disappointing to see such a big step backward from what used to be a fantastic bakery. I really hope they bring back the original vegan recipes and variety that made this place so special.

Honestly used to be 5 stars. For some reason the vegan donuts are bite sized now, used to be the only place to get vegan donuts. Unfortunate

Great delicious donuts! But service is horrible, people who’s working here hates theirs job and hates people around. You’re paying 28$ for 6 donuts and they treat you like they're doing you a favor. Not coming back, service doesn’t deserves that maybe even if donuts are..

As a vegan, I used to love hooplas vegan donuts. Although the vegan flavours weren’t always the best selection I was happy with a vanilla sprinkle. Unfortunately they have gone down hill. They used to be a good donut texture and flavour, now they are a weird combination of cake-like texture and flavour kind of reminiscent of those cheap cinnamon donuts you can get at carnivals. In addition, the size of the vegan donuts used to be the same as the non-vegan donuts but now they are about two thirds the size as the non-vegan ones! I have a picture of what they used to look like (with the coffee) vs the one I got today (comparing to a non-vegan dunkaroo one). Sad. Not many options for vegan donuts and now I won’t be coming back to hoopla because the vegan donuts just aren’t very good anymore. In addition, the woman taking my order seemed like she would rather be anywhere else and was mildly annoyed.

I wanted to try them out even with the bad reviews on here but sadly i should have listened. I had a double chocolate cookie and a mocha donut but for some reason they both had a hint of lemon flavor. Not the best tasting and definitely not fresh. Im guessing they were sitting beside something lemon flavored. Either way i didn't want a stale lemon chocolate cookie or donut.
The iced mocha i had was good though

Expensive donuts for what you get. Guy at the counter had real attitude and we were simply asking about the different flavours of the donuts

They ran out of Doughnuts at 1:00pm on a Thursday. They said I should have emailed them before coming. I should not have to call/email ahead to have a doughnut....

Love these guys !?? Always fresh, scrumptious, and heavenly the best.As someone who hates overly sweetened goods, these donuts are not drenched in syrups or sugars. This is what makes them unique - high quality , elegantly sweet, crisp and otherworldly. Surprised with some of these negative reviews and from what I gather, most were expecting a heavily sweet donut. As a baker, I have a strong distaste for cheaply sweet baked goods, and so I could tell right away these donuts were made with high quality ingredients. * chefs kiss * Also, Thank You for also taking the time to write such a heartwarming note on my Uber order - I felt that connection and I apprectiate the detail to the extra drawing you made. Wishing you all continued success and keep spreading that love ! ?
