Hys never misses a beat. The steaks we had were amazing as always. The service is forever unmatched!

Service was inattentive and food presentation was poor. Table side Caesar was rushed and performed by someone who did not care to present appropriately. Table was left with dirty cutlery and dishes for ten minutes after we were done despite several employees literally standing around or walking right past the table. We have been to this location on other occasions and the service has been impeccable and the food presentation was amazing. While the food quality was still up to par, the other negligent items has made us question the value. Other steak houses are being more consistent in their application of service, timing, quality. Such as Salt Lik and Vintage. Price points are the same, but Hy's is resting in their laurels and not truing to keep up. We did have this experience on a Sunday, which perhaps allows management to provide lesser quality staff on board on what is seen as a lesser income evening.

Absolutely everything was outstanding. The food, service, selection and ambiance. Although it is very pricey, it's great for a special occasion for a small group .

We do an annual trip to Calgary and always stop for a dinner at Hy's. It's a family favorite however this trip it just wasn't as good. Steaks weren't cooked to our liking, potatoes were dry and under seasoned, Caesar salad was over the top with garlic (have ordered this many times in the past and loved it) I like to keep it real in my reviews. In my opinion could have gotten the same meal at half the price elsewhere which is not normally the case when it comes to Hy's.

Bruce hosted our private Bday party and he was fantastic!! Exceptional service- thank you Bruce. Food is always top notch! Highly recommend Hy’s for private events.

Great lunch experience. Ambience is outstanding, food was good, staff was excellent.
Wish the Filet was a bit better but was still good. Had an 8 Oz and it seemed like a 6 tops.

An experience like no other. Visited our friend in Calgary and dined here. John L was attentive, friendly, knowledgeable! Everything you could ask for in a server!

Will definitely be returning. Thank you again for the amazing experience!

Excellent scotch collection, bit of a 70’s cocktail lounge steak house vibe, classic steak dishes and old Haute cuisine tableside. Delicious, classy, not pretentious.

Had to give the food a 3 * as they use canola oil in everything which is the worst seed oil one can use. For the prices they charge, that is inexcusable! The Caesar salad although tasty used the rinebacks of the romaine lettuce and one was hard pressed to find any real lettuce in it. Steak and veggies were done to perfection.

The filet was perfect by all means; the Boulevardier was balanced, complex but light . Dino provided stellar service. This is THE steakhouse in Calgary.

Steak and old fashions were amazing

We had a lovely experience at Hy's. The service was attentive and professional, and the ambience created a refined, enjoyable atmosphere. The tableside service added a fun and interactive touch to the evening. That said, we found the food to be a bit too salty for our preference and slightly overpriced for what was offered. Having dined at several upscale steakhouses, we felt the overall experience, while pleasant, didn't quite stand out as exceptional.

The Live music was awesome. My server was excellent. The food was delicious. And my old fashioned was quite tasty, as well.

Good to be back at Hy's for a business dinner. Great service by Dino. Our out-of-town guests were quite impressed with the hospitality and service.
