Very good, run by the same Italian family since its inception over 40 years ago. Classic authentic upper scale Italian,

We came to this restaurant for an anniversary dinner. We arrived a little early for our reservation and there were only 3 tables occupied at the time. We were greeted and sat at the bathroom door. Lots of empty tables but this is where we were put. Another table came in and they was at beside us and the female server was very quick and attentive to them. The server told them the specials then went to get their bread and water. We finally saw the male server, he brought our water and bread. Another table came in, were sat and promptly given bread, water and told the specials. We were never told the specials. We ordered Caesar salad for 2, I had the Vongole and tortellini. Both dishes were very good. We mentioned to the female server that it was our anniversary and she gave us dessert on the house. The food was fine, the service was hit and miss and the table was terrible. Good restaurants with empty tables save the worst table for last, they don't dump customers there when the rest of the restaurant is almost empty.

This place is a bit of a tucked away gem. The food is absolutely outstanding. Family owned operation, small, quaint and worth the visit. Service was slow on the night we dined here, but it was also busy (gully packed). So you have to take the good with the bad. It was packed because it has good food, but being full impacted service. Either way, we will be back.
Calamari was fantastic, as were the two pastas we tried. Well worth the visit!

It is always a pleasure dining here and seeing Victoria and her family! Nothing but simply old school Italian dish
Just walked out, sat on the patio for 50 minutes, 1 server came out and took the order for a table that arrived after us, didn’t even look our way, 2nd server comes out 20 minutes later and takes the order for a table that came 25 minutes after us, again didn’t even look our way, I get that it’s busy but the service tonight is horrible, we left to go to another restaurant.

Amazing authentic home cooked Italian cuisine from this family run restaurant. This is a wonderful place to celebrate with family or friends or drop in for a nice lunch.

This family run restaurant is a real gem. First time visiting il Chianti and it did not disappoint. The service was impeccable and food was just as good. The tomato bruschetta was one of the best I’ve eaten. The main meals were all simply delicious. The pasta Puttanesca is definitely a must and the Veal in rich cream sauce was excellent, and if you’re not into meat dishes then give the tasty Gnocchi in rose cream sauce a try. il Chianti is a nice cozy restaurant with white linen on the tables. Be sure to try and make a reservation. Look forward to coming back.

This restaurant is absolutely incredible, and I haven't stopped thinking about the food since I left! Everything is made with love and every bite was amazing. It's a small space, but truly a jewel in the city. We ordered Fettuccine Angelo and Paradiso dishes, and had Tiramisu for dessert.
$29 for an app, calimari, pass!
Nice atmosphere and food was tasty. I had the evening special entree (beef tenderloin with prawn n roasted potato), I was upset I did not ask price prior, felt $62 was very high. At that price it would have been nice if server shared.
