Izumi is a fantastic place to go for a solo lunch. Their ramen is affordable and tasty, and their appetizers/side dishes are great. The atmosphere is comfortable too! (just mind the passing C Train!)

This Korean restaurant is a solid go-to, no matter the occasion. The King Ton Katsu was massive, perfectly crispy, and had that nostalgic flavor you’d expect from a classic Korean dish. The Spicy Pork Bone Soup was equally satisfying—just the thing for chilly weather. It was spicy, hearty, and the meat was tender and flavorful. Definitely a spot I’ll keep coming back to!

I have come here serveral time eat alone, usually I have to wait quite long whenever the restaurant is crowded or not, but it was ok for me until today they ignore me because other tables are group of 3-4, only me come alone. After getting order from a 4-person table, I ask to order and they said they can only receive 1 order each time. It's ok I wait till server transfer order to kitchen after waiting for 15 mins. Then it's my turn to order but my noodle is out of stock, but instead of inform me to order another dish, the server comes to another table of 4 to get order and let me wait, then inform me and intend to take the menu away even when I have not chosen other dish yet. It's not the first time when they ignore me when the restaurant becomes crowded, so I decide not to come back again. I can be patient to wait but I cannot support the fact that the restaurant discriminates customers because of money. I hope you could improve your service in the future
I ordered the pork bone soup and was simply blown away. The flavor complexity of the soup was on par and even better than many of the best I had in lower mainland BC where there's no shortage of Korean food establishments. Even the potato side dish and kimchi were done right. Simply amazing food from an unassuming place! Too bad I was in Calgary for only 2 days. A little digression but downtown Calgary on the weekend is like a ghost town from a dystopian world.

Wasn’t expecting much as it looked quiet and the area around it is pretty quiet. It looked quiet inside too but when the food came out I was very pleasantly surprised… I had the TanTan ramen and it was as good as anything I’d get in London at a fraction of the cost. My guests enjoyed their curry with rice too. Well done team!

The tonkatsu was the thickest tonkatsu I’ve had in Canada!! Really thick, juicy and tender🤩 The chashu ramen was also so delicious and had a lot of toppings. Really awesome meal, loved it!😍
