Zaitoona Shawarma

Unbelievably hospitable, kind, friendly and the food was amazing!! We had the BBQ platter that comes with beef kebab, chicken (taouk), and rib eye. We also had a mixed shawarma that was very tasty. The best Shish taouk I have ever had! The rib eye kebab was so good!!

Very comfortable dining area too, very clean too. Such nice and friendly people.

This place is the same as any other, everything was cold enough to eat right away. I really don’t understand why they serve this type of food cold. I prefer my food warm and tasty, but there’s not much else to say. I went there from far away because I read the reviews on Google, and people were saying it was “super tasty,” blah blah. I think those reviews were probably written by the owners or their friends and family. In my opinion, there’s nothing special about it

We went in this evening to pick up food and sauce. The Hummus and garlic sauce were buy one and get one 50% off.
The Hummus recipe is completely different from when we have had it. It was very watery and bland. Our baby gagged on it instantly. There was no hint of a Hummus taste. Too bad, theirs used to be amazing.

This is one of the best shawarma spots in the city. Delicious food and nice people. There’s a shawarma palace down the street from this place and I don’t think the thought of going there instead has ever even crossed my mind.

The quality of the food and portion sizes are consistently excellent, which I truly appreciate. However, the customer service experience has been disappointing.

During a recent visit, while voluntarily tidying up our table, one of the two staff members (the bald gentleman who is often there) abruptly raised his voice at me for placing the tray near the counter, instructing me to take it by the garbage instead. I was simply trying to be helpful, but the tone and delivery were unnecessarily aggressive and made me feel quite uncomfortable.

I’ve supported this business several times in the past, including placing group orders for team lunches and staff events. However, after this experience, I’m hesitant to return. I’ve also noticed the place seems much quieter than it used to be, which may reflect similar experiences from other patrons.

I hope this feedback is taken constructively, as the food deserves to be complemented by equally good service.
