Unfortunately, our visit on a beautiful, sunny Sunday afternoon was quite disappointing. We were sitting outside enjoying some post-lunch coffees but the experience was unfortunately soured when a staff member came outside with a leaf blower, sending dust flying around, right near us and toward pedestrians. When we looked at him in disbelief, he responded with a dismissive attitude rather than an apology. We ended up leaving early and overall, we were not happy with the experience/treatment . It was our first time here and will sadly be our last.

Food sucks, shisha sucks, service sucks too, the girls there have an attitude and the owner just sits and smokes shisha I've never seen him put any effort, the nachos came with cold beef just simply an effortless place.

Everything is a little overpriced. Especially considering how stingey they are about everything. We wanted to get two teacups with each teapot we bought, but they said “only one teacup per teapot”. Like, why? The staff members were very blunt and rigid. It seems the owners of this place run the place sternly with how the staff were acting. I mean, you had to pay for water! Crazy.
The food was very good though. And the atmosphere is very good as well. The live plants all over are really nice.
A welcoming atmosphere for all. The service is great, the staff and owner are super friendly. A place I would highly recommend. The best part is the food😊 Jara salad, Chicken saj & Jara wrap are my favorite

Unfortunately, I am very disappointed with my visit with my friends to this establishment. The service was rude and unfriendly - the staff was not interested in the guests at all. The atmosphere was completely ruined by this attitude. I will not come here again and do not recommend it to others!

Unfortunately, our experience at this lounge was very disappointing. We came as a group of four, but were told that one hookah can only be shared between two people — something we’ve never encountered before, especially in Canada. Honestly, it makes no sense. If we’re paying for the hookah, why does it matter how many people are smoking it?
We ordered a watermelon-flavored hookah, but it had no watermelon taste at all — only a strong minty flavor, which wasn’t what we wanted. There was barely any smoke, and the overall quality was poor. The service wasn’t helpful either — staff were not attentive, and nothing was explained in advance.
We ended up leaving the place early because the experience was so disappointing. We strongly do not recommend this lounge.

One of the best spots in Calgary I’ve been to Jara Café several times now, and every visit has been better than the last The atmosphere is super chill, the decor is modern and cozy, and the service is always on point The food is absolutely delicious especially the Fattoush Salad and Beef Saj Bites The flavors are fresh, authentic, and truly satisfying Coffee is top-tier, and the shisha is smooth and high quality What really stands out is the attention to detail and the passion behind this place You can tell the owner cares about creating a great experience for everyone Highly recommend Jara Café for anyone looking for a relaxing spot with great food, drinks, and vibes. Keep up the amazing work🙌🔥

I have lived near this place for years now. I never actually stepped a foot ,it looked cozy enough to recommend to a group of visitors i had from a different city, we head there after a massive extensive dinner just for a shicha for and whatever as its almost sleeping time for me and we had no space for nothing honestly. we were hosted by simple greetings, nothing to complain about, but it actually got a bit odd as we got to the ordering . It was shisha and 4 mint teas as we really have no space for nothing . First was warning that shisha is only allowed for 2 people, not 4, even though we never said who is smoking it but fair enough ,second I was notified that I wasn't allowed to vape even the the next table had 2 actif vapes on the table and the waitress is well aware of it (mind you that the vape was just in my hand and i am about to tuck it away in my pocket from previously vaping before heading in, a habit i have for frequenting bars), 3rd the tea came without sugar I had to ask for it and carry it personally from the over the counter with one single spoon in it for all of us to mix with, 4th I asked for a cup of water,and I was also notified that they sell bottled water, I must say this would be the only place in this city to ever dently me a cup of water . not done yet ! 5th, i made my way out to the deck outside to vape, and I was chased by the waitress to tell me that I had to be outside the perimeter, and I did so!6th there was a sleeping infant at 11:30pm dragged out of the vehicle and into the patio area so that the responsible parents finish their shisha and hangout with what appeared to be the manager/owner! I bet you social services won't take kindly to that ! But yeah, place has a high ceiling and a good ventilation. i would say it was pretty chilly with a jacket on even inside, so yeah, we sure tipped for this service 😉 because we believe that the people working in the back if there are any shouldn't pay for it. Maybe avoid this place
