Been looking for a hookah cafe (and not a lounge) for a few days and stumbled upon this place yesterday. The interiors are good and unlike a dingy, shady hookah lounge so that was refreshing. Just had the hookah and some hummus. Hookah was good, and the guy was quick to replace coal without asking. Service was decent. The pita bread could be warmer but other than that, I had an overall good experience.

This has to be the worst place to go eat at in the city I was baffled by the customer service for the lack of professionalism. It took 20 min to get one waiter to take me and my friends orders. Our food was cold. They added 4 different meals to our bill which none of us ordered and are refusing to give us a refund. This place is horrible I do not recommend coming here ever. The bathroom is horrific pee all over the ground toilet paper everywhere I walked in and straight back out because the smell was so strong. Not a clean place never coming back here

Disappointing Experience!!! I had an absolutely horrible experience at Jara Cafe. Not only was customer service slow and poor, but there was a meal added to my bill that my table did not order, and when I brought it up, the staff was dismissive and unhelpful in making a correction and giving me a refund. Iooking at these reviews, I see that I am not the first person to experience this. I expected much better and won't be returning.

I absolutely regret not going to any of the other nearby shisha lounges on 17th. I noticed this place was very unhygienic. It took 45 minutes for the most simple order, I got fed up and when I asked to cancel the order they rudely refused. The food ended up being disappointing and on top of that I was charged up to an extra $18 for items I’ve never ordered. I calmly confronted but their service needs better training as their explanation did not make any sense and kept insisting me to leave. Please save your time and money and go to any other shisha lounge on 17th.

This place is absolute dog water. No other lounge I’ve been to makes you spend a minimum amount and you have to buy a shisha EACH person. Like what the hell. And don’t get me started on the service. Extremely unprofessional. They want each person to spend minimum $25 and and when we ask about why, he becomes angry and and starts asking oh what other lounges you go to. Like dude. DO NOT GO HERE WHATSOEVER.

Horrible third chance I gave this shisha lounge. The service at this shisha café was painfully slow. We waited ages for even the simplest requests. Seemed like we weren’t the only ones waiting. The food was mediocre at best, definitely not worth the price. To top it all off, they charged me an extra $18 for something I didn’t even order. When I brought it up, they were super unhelpful and eagerly dismissive. Save your time and money and go somewhere else, this place is a money grab. Owner needs to advance their employee training, one guy dropped a coal right next to us and tried picking up ash and dust with tongs… tongs.
DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY. They will sneakily add food to your bill that you did not order, refuse to give you your money back, and act as if they did nothing wrong. 0/10 do not recommend to anybody. Go to Diwan or Cafemed instead much much better food and service and everything else.

I've never experienced such unprofessional service in my life. I was there with some friends who ordered shisha, but since I don't smoke, I didn't order any for myself. The manager approached our table and said, "You all either order food or drinks worth at least $25 per person, or leave." We explained that this policy was never mentioned to us when we entered. He responded, "I'll make an exception for you this time, but just order drinks."
I said I'll order a bottle of water, and guess what, he refused to serve that. It's either a more expensive drink or you leave. Since we didn't want to leave, we ordered tea. He then looks at me and says "why you don't look happy, do you have a problem? You either look happy or you leave."
I don't understand how this place continues to operate when the manager treats customers in such a bullying manner.

I had an incredibly disappointing experience at this restaurant. Upon arrival, the waitress asked us to sit at a larger table because no other tables were available, and we complied. Shortly after ordering shisha, the owner barged in, rudely demanding why we were seated at the larger table and insisting that we order at least $25 per person or leave until a smaller table became available.
This behavior was unprofessional and downright hostile. Instead of addressing their own staff’s seating arrangements, the owner unfairly placed the blame on us, the customers. We felt bullied and uncomfortable throughout the interaction.
Good customer service is about creating a welcoming environment, not berating patrons for circumstances beyond their control. Needless to say, I won’t be returning, and I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone looking for a respectful and enjoyable dining experience.

I only recommend this place for small groups of 3-4. The tables are small and they don't rearrange chairs.
Some of the food items are overpriced. I ordered a cauliflower dish and was served a chicken dish. I understand mistakes happen, but then the cauliflower dish was comically full of brussel sprouts. The bowl was genuinely 70% full of brussel sprouts, and then topped off to make it appear full. I do not recommend this place for its food. The shisha flavours were good.
