I've been searching for a great shawarma place for too long in Calgary. My friend brought me here yesterday n I fell in love with the smells of food cooking, so much to look at, all the different spices on the shelves, n many different drinks. Very lovely people working, greeted us right away and even gave a sample of few things for me to try before ordering, n honestly I ordered almost 1 of everything haha I'm definitely coming back! YUMMY 😋

I live just down the street and is my go-to. Best shawarma in Calgary. The food is amazing, but the staff are even better. Free sample of meat on your first time.. Jimmy was parked outside last week and asked me if the shawarma was good, he told me he'd give me a refund if it wasn't the best shawarma I've tried in Calgary. I didn't need a refund!

This place used to be the best shawarma in the city. I always used to get the small because it was such huge portions. Now, it looks like it's about a third as much meat that was in there before. That's why there's not the lineups that they used to have. Every time I went there it was super busy.
It’s been a hot minute since I’ve been here. Food is still outstanding and they’ve expanded what they offer since I’ve been here last at this location (granted, it’s apparently been almost two decades). So good. Definitely four thumbs up. 👍

Ok friends. I am from Halifax and know donairs even though I have been in Toronto for 30 years. I go back to Halifax 2 times a year and always go back to Tonys Donair. Jimmy's Donair was excellent and my only feedback was to wet the pita and grill on a flat top so it warmer pita that matches the temperature of the meat. I added the classic tomato, onion and went retro early 80s and added parsley.
The team was excellent and super kind. The Baklava was excellent, moist and buttery sweet.
Looking forward to dropping next time I am in Calgary. FYI I tried the garlic sauce on the side with some chicken as a sample and that was the best garlic sauce aka Toom I ever tried.
