JINYA Ramen Bar - Calgary

Went to Jinya today and hands down the best Ramen I've ever had.

I only gave it 3 stars though because Im extremely irrirated they applied a 18% gratuity to my party of "7". Two of our party were my 2 and 4 year olds that didn't require any extra service and shared our appies. Forced gratuity is ridiculous at "7" people.

The food was alright, but it should not be advertised as vegetarian. They offer a few (3-5) options but not a sufficient amount to be deemed a vegetarian place! The food is also not very open to customization and thereby limiting the available dishes for those with dietary restrictions.

Small but great atmosphere, with great variety of drink and food choices!
Great and fast service as well, servers are all kind with welcoming smiling faces.
We tried their Brussels up ramen and mojito.
No regret to drive an hour to come here.

Jinya had better a better soup base when the first 2-3 years from opening but now we’re finding the soup has lost its quality. It was 10/10 but now it’s only a few points above subpar.

I will not come back, Awful service. Food is not good. Mine was cold and tasteless. The waitress pushed me to leave because someone else came. Wish I could rate ZERO. The variety is terrible limited.

The best ramen in Calgary , we have been ordering lots of times . Id say its expensive but its worthy . Their broth is like kisses from chef no jokes , thanks !

Fried chicken was really yummy and a decent price for the portion. The service was okay, the waiter completely forgot to bring my drink so I only drank water. The ramen looks very good though, would love to try.
