Dinner at Jjamppong, one of our favorite Korean noodle restaurants. Very delicious dishes that we enjoyed a lot. Ordered the classic Spicy Noodles and Black bean noodles dish along with the popular Fried Pork with sweet and sour sauce.Friendly staff and fast service. If you want to try the popular fried pork with sweet and sour sauce, I do recommend to eat in instead of take out (if possible). We tried take out a few times with the Fried pork dish, but nothing like dining in when we can taste the freshly made fried pork …. You will know what I mean for the dining in fried pork. Highly recommended!Parking: It is busy area near Chinook shopping centre and Macleod trail and near a car dealer company. Thus, parking can be tricky at times. Not a big on site parking lot. Quite limited parking but there are reasonable amount of street parking beside and behind the restaurant. Should be able to find a spot but may not be right very close to restaurant.

Food is so good. I ordered a $16 jjamjja(spicy seafood noodle+black bean noodle)half and half. Both are so local and so yummy. The server is friendly. Really recommend to those who want local Korean Chinese cuisine!

Their seafood jjamppong is heaven! Enough said! Of course would like more seafood (but I'm just being greedy here). Their soup is hot and spicy and their noodle is chewy, exactly what I'm looking for in jjamppong!

I was eating fried food when I bit into something foreign. It didn't break at all and caused bleeding in my mouth. I still feel the blood now!! I tried to break it but it wouldn't budge, and I still don't know what it is. My tooth and mouth are still very uncomfortable. This is the second time I've experienced NON FOOD THINGS in the food. I was eating fried then too.The first time, I complained immediately because I was eating at a restaurant, but now it's different. I won't eat the food here. I'm afraid of what might be inside the fried food, and I don't want my kid to eat it either.

I ate lunch late, so I was full, so I left everything, but when I got back to the accommodation and packed up and ate sweet and sour pork again, I remembered the Jjamppong soup again and it drove me crazy.. I can't forget my first bite of sweet and sour pork and the first bite of Jjamppong soup.. ㅠ Please open a branch in Toronto as well. ㅠ These days, in Korea as well. There is no sweet and sour pork like this at any Chinese restaurant in the neighborhood. The price is not much different compared to the quality and quantity of Korean food. I really want to give it to the Blue Ribbon of a Chinese restaurant in Calgary?I'm a really good gourmet, so it was really good, and it reminded me so much of Korea for the first time since coming abroad.I heard that they know about Baemin reviews in Korea as well, but this is my first Google review? The owner is very kind and reminds me of my part-time job in Korea, and I felt like I would feel comfortable working here. I hope the owner will be a big hit and won't leave out bad reviews from customers wondering where to go. Seeing all the great reviews before i came and tried this place and got really disappointed. The food is ok at best. The portions are large, but the food didn't really stand out compared to other Korean places. The menu have a lot of repeated items just mixed and match differently. Place is poorly renovated. The food is somewhat overpriced, in my opinion. Hard to find parking. It was one of the most disappointing experiences for the dollar. Food served on plastic bowls and plates just makes the place cheap. I will probably not return to this place again. There are a lot of better Korea food places in town for similar price.

Had dinner with friends, ordered set menus. The food was just average, but the eagerness from either the male staff or the boss to kick us out quickly was truly charming. Not only did they promptly grab an empty cup after a couple of sip, a behavior so rare it felt like a unicorn sighting. Maybe if we lingered longer than necessary, who knows? The time from the start of the meal to leaving with a displeased mood was a whopping 35 minutes. With the standard food quality and lackluster service, won't be gracing them with my presence again.
