The Workbench Bar & Grill is the kind of place you end up at when the universe decides you need to suffer. The food is absolute trash, I wouldn’t feed it to a dog unless I hated the dog. Everything tastes like it was cooked by someone who lost a bet.
The bathrooms? A biohazard exhibit. There’s usually a puddle of urine greeting you at the door, the sinks barely work, and forget about paper towels, apparently that’s a luxury item around here. Bring your own or just accept you’re leaving with wet hands and regret.
And then there’s the owner. Wow. Watching him “run” this bar is like watching someone attempt brain surgery with oven mitts. Zero clue what he’s doing, zero leadership, zero sense. The guy is the walking embodiment of “should not be in charge of anything.” Every part of this place screams poor ownership choices.
The ONLY bright spot is the OG bartending crew they are absolute legends. They’re friendly, fast, and somehow manage to stay professional while the rest of the place collapses around them. They deserve medals, raises, and probably hazard pay.
If misery is your hobby, you’ll love it here. Otherwise, avoid The Workbench like it’s charging admission to disappointment

I used to be a regular, things got tight then I’d come to the bar from time to time every couple months or so. Everytime I’ve been in there I’ve always felt uncomfortable with the bartender. I go there for karaoke and to have a fun time. Not to literally have my drinks that are still 3/4 of the way full on my table taken from me after I ask for my bill. I literally had a beer on my table , asked for my bill, went to grab my beer and it was taken off my table and I wasn’t able to finish a drink I paid for. Everytime I come here even the regulars respect me and they actually care unlike the bartender. So i definitely won’t be back if I simply can’t enjoy a drink that I paid for. This is absolutely ridiculous.

Terrible food (ordered from skip) The soup was way to salty and the fish and chips were soggy, the batter did not even stick to the fish. Potatoes were okay, still hungry and out money cannot do a refund without a picture. Sorry do not think I'll stop in for a beer.

I used to really like this place. I do not drink. I only go to the bar for karaoke. Its my passion. I went to this bar and sang my song, and when I went to order a ginger ale after my song, I was asked to leave. I wondered why, and the bartender (Ken) said its cause he doesn't like me. This stems from the fact that a regular patron at this bar and I had a falling out. Because this other patron went to this bar longer than me, spends a lot more cause they drink, has many friends, I was kicked from this establishment. That kind of treatment makes me wish I actually did something worth getting kicked out for. If you like karaoke, any place is better than here. Jen doesn't forget. Or forgive. I wouldn't expect her too. Pretty much just sharing my experience. I know the folks who go here are basically a cult following so a 1 star review won't change anything. But if you're wanting to try this bar cause you've never been, good luck. Hopefully they treat you better thsn they did me. It's a real shame cause they never charged me for extra ranch.
