My girlfriend and I visited, and this was our second time here. The food is always delicious and served quickly, and the server is super friendly with prompt service. We’ll definitely be back again soon!

I ordered their pork katsu. Their yuzu sauce with salad, rice portion and meat tenderness was delicious. Unlike some other restaurants they didn’t offer any free refills on rice or salad. However, this was a pleasant and filling portion and I’ll be returning.

The server was arrogant and rude and the katsu wasn't that great either.

This is the place to go for your Katsu needs! The amount of waves of positive nostalgia I got was great. I highly recommend eating here!

Curry bowls were delicious, with mild curry flavours. Chicken Katsu Don was tasty with a sweet finish to it. Highly recommend the Okami Katsu beer, mild and refreshing!

Jun Katsu gives you a good portion and ratio of meat/sides to rice for the price. The prices are pretty average for a katsu place in Calgary. One of the sides with the katsu set is a small scoop of a potato salad instead of pickled veggies (I prefer pickled veggies but that's just personal preference). They let you choose your salad dressing--yuzu or sesame. Both options are my faves since I just love cabbage salad. The katsu is crispy with lots of breading. The cheese katsu is stringy with a nice chewy texture. The curry tastes almost exactly like the Japanese curry you can make from those Japanese curry boxes at the grocery stores in terms of flavour. I think Jun Katsu does hit the spot when you're craving katsu for a decent price. That being said, taste wise there are better ones in the city. Have fun exploring them all (:

Decent place for a fairly quick lunch, the cheese katsu was better then I expected, and the salad included with the Jun katsu chicken had a great dressing, overall I would recommend trying this place, not the best katsu in town but definitely not bad by any means

Had Pork Katsu and Jun Katsu (mix of pork, cheese, shrimp Katsu) miso soup is good and the sesame dressing on the salad is good. Kinda vague the serving amount of potato salad.
The foods are tasty, but it didn’t leave a lasting impression.

Delicious!!! So happy we found this restaurant. We got both the pork and chicken katsu - they were fried to perfection and not dry inside. The sauces were yummy as well as the miso soup. Also ordered their takowasabi and was so pleased with how it’s made - delicious and with just the right amount of wasabi in it!!!
Definitely coming back here again and again! They packed everything very well too and drew some cute drawings which was a nice touch.
It was my first time visiting.
tonkatsu main restaurant among the many available, but unfortunately, it was quite disappointing. For the same price, I think I’d rather go somewhere else. First of all, the presentation was very sloppy. The potato salad on the side didn’t really seem necessary.
As for the tonkatsu, cheese katsu, and fried shrimp, they were all cooked to a nice crisp, but there was nothing particularly good or bad about them—just average.
The customer service was friendly, along with unique food flavors of each ingredient. The food was promptly served, and we loved our first ever Katsu. Will surely visit again.
