Kalia at Kakes and Kanvas absolutely killed it with our wedding cupcakes! They were super soft, fresh, and seriously delicious. We had a bunch of flavors and loved every single one. Such a beautiful hidden shop. We visited them for yyc hot chocolate fest and not only was their hot chocolate beyond incredible their baked goods are beautiful and delicious. The owners are amazing and very personable and i think anyone who loves sweets should visit them at least once! Thanks again guys 🫶

Went here to get the yyc hot chocolate. Prior to that, I had never heard of this quaint hole in the wall. It was adorable, and the young lady serving was absolutely delightful. It is quite clear she enjoys her job, and that makes all the difference.

Just picked the most amazing lemon square Fresh burst of lemon flavour complimented by coconut. Not too sweet. Just perfect. I am thinking the almond croissant I also picked up is going to be just as delicious.

We recently tried some Halloween-themed cupcakes from this bakery, and while they looked fantastic, the taste didn’t meet expectations. The decorations were impressive, but the icing was too hard and overly sweet. The cake itself was unfortunately on the dry side. The Nutella filling was a nice touch, but overall I found the cupcakes underwhelming.
I love ordering cakes from Kalia. She is truly one of the best cake artists and I knew when planning our wedding that she would be the one to make our wedding cake. We are so happy how it turned out. She really nailed our vision and our guests loved the cake. After serving it, the cake was gone quickly and everyone kept telling us how good it was. Kalia made the process so easy and got our cake delivered and set up for our wedding reception. We could not be more happy with how it turned out. No doubt Kakes and Kanvas won best wedding cakes (Calgary) in Avenue magazine this year - they really are the best!
