Food was very small portioned and very expensive. Average tasting food. Didn’t have a good experience as we felt rushed. Sat down with our group and server told us we had a hour because they had another reservation after us. Very disappointing.

Really fun dinner spot. We came here for Valentine’s Day, and we had a really great time. We got the potato gems, popcorn octopus (with tzatziki substitute), lamb ribs, and the chicken souvlaki, and it was all amazing. The chicken souvlaki was definitely the highlight, I would recommend! The kitchen was willing to accommodate our request for a sauce substitute for the octopus, and we had an overall great experience with the staff. The vibes were great, and I would definitely visit again!

I found this place to be more disappointing then I expected. We ordered a good amount of dishes and it was about 50/50 on hits and misses.

The highlight of the meal was the Popcorn Octopus which had a good crispy texture that was a mix between popcorn chicken and calamari. The Turkish Prawns were nicely spiced and worked well the potatoes. The Brussel Sprouts were good with the greek yogurt and cooked well being roasted expertly.

However, one of the more disappointing dishes was the Pork Belly which was overcooked and much too spicy to enjoy. The biggest disappointment of the night was the Chicken Souvlaki. The greek salad that came with it was okay and they had these Honey Feta Beignets that were good, but the Chicken itself was dry with no flavour. For a $43 dish that is inexcusable.

To compound the experience I found the service lacking for a restaurant at this price point, our server wasn't around much and it was hard to get her attention. At the end of the meal, she dropped off the machine without saying anything and left to another table which left us confused. Overall, for the price and food quality I won't be returning.

Great place for a personal or business meal, the liquor selection could seem limited but they carry necessary variety. Food items are also great when looking for shareables for the table, we especially enjoyed the small plates.

We spent $160+ on 6 dishes for the two of us and were still hungry after. Food was either average or a big miss. Duck pappardelle was cold and under seasoned, popcorn octopus had 5 pieces, tomato burrata salad had 1/3 of a burrata.

Nice venue, staff is good. But the food is mid… not really worth it. Ordered the Brussels sprouts, pork belly and the lamb. The lamb had a weird consistency and very chewy. The Brussels sprouts was okay same
For the pork belly. Spend your money elsewhere.

Food was decent however the octopus balls had some kind of spice in there that felt like it needed to be cooked down a little more, batter had a chalky texture. The gnocchi with mushroom and black truffle was absolutely delicious. Would love to bring my wife back here.

Fairly expensive, more than I was expecting.

Vegetarian options: Lots of options

Parking: Good luck finding parking downtown Calgary at lunch time

Sorry to leave a bad review but my honest feedback is that the food/drinks are not very good and really overpriced. I was surprised because reviews are very good, dishes all looked very nice, and it was busy. The dishes all tasted kind of bland and nothing particularly stood out. There wasn’t anything that I felt was very tasty and wanted to keep eating. My drink tasted like I was drinking tzatziki lol, although I sent it back and they didn’t charge me which I appreciate a lot. We ordered 6 appetizers/small plates + 2 cocktails and it came out to $180 for 2 people (including tip). The service was friendly and atmosphere was warm, however I am chapped about the price given the quality and wouldn’t come back. Sorry!

We had the potatoes, pork, the duck, and the chicken souvlaki on Dec 6th. All meat dishes were extremely overcooked. Flavour was pretty good but sadly the chicken souvlaki was entirely inedible. Cost us $150 too which is a kicker when the potatoes and tzatziki were the only enjoyable parts.

Our server was great, totally attentive and kind. Our food was great as well. The only thing I would say is our last dish, we shared so ordered a few, came out super behind. It felt odd to get the broccolini when we were almost done. However it was a super enjoyable evening and we will be back.

The people here knock it out of the park. Our host, she was absolutely incredible! Nadine was absolutely a jem to be around and made it so much fun and such incredible people skills. Then there's the rest of the staff, amazing!!!! It was our anniversary and they made us a lil card with all these hand written notes in and we just felt so loved on and it absolutely made our night. The people made this the best experience. The food was delicious too! But I hope y'all get raises cuz you guys are incredible. There is a lot of places that you can find good food, but incredible staff like the people here? That makes it unique and knocks it out of the park! Will be a lasting memory for my husband and I and will be back!

My first time eating and this restaurant for lunch and I was not disappointed. The beef tartar and chicken souvlaki were the highlights of the meal. The decor inside is beautiful and clean. I would highly recommend to anyone and look forward to going back again.

My husband and I celebrated our anniversary dinner at Kama and were not disappointed. Everything was great about this little jewel of a restaurant. The interior was modern, spacious and even funky, our server Noah was super friendly and attentive as was as all the staff. We loved the open kitchen concept and even thanked the chefs for our wonderful meals. Our food was delicious and beautifully served. The potato gnocchi with mushrooms and Gorgonzola were heavenly. At the end of the night Noah presented us with a happy anniversary card signed by all the servers. This was a beautiful and very thoughtful touch that makes the Kama a notch above the rest!! A definite must try. We will be back for sure. Thank you Kama for a lovely evening together.
