I came to Kan sushi with a couple friends to have some dinner. I recently won a contest that offered a discount and ensured I made reservations as requested by the restaurant. Upon entering, I told the waitress that I had a reservation and to my surprise, my name and phone number was not on the list. We were still seated right away and the restaurant wasn’t too busy. The waitress came back to ask if we would like water or another beverage and I had mentioned to her that I had won a contest and showed her my IG messages. She said she would go check and came back about 15 minutes later to ask which account I messaged as they had two. I showed her and she confirmed that the account I messaged was in fact one of their IG accounts but there was no message. I felt confused as i was not sure where the message went but she went to go check again and came back 20 minutes later to confirm the gift card was valid. We asked a different waitress a couple of questions about the menu and to my surprise, she seemed annoyed or bothered that we were asking questions. Sushi was good but nothing too special or memorable. Due to my experience, I don’t think I will be back.

This is a great little sushi spot tucked in beautiful Royal Oak! One of the best (if not the best) sushi spots I've found in the city. Great menu with lots of options. Food was fresh and delicious! Will be coming back here regularly!
Die hard sushi diners and this little spot is brilliant. Great pricing and excellent portions. Freshest I've had in a hot minute, I'll tell ya. Nice, spot with heaps of natural light and a little patio. Wonderfully attentive staff. Can't give enough praise. Loved the experience. A+++

I have a minor caveat I would like to bring up. I have emailed them twice already about this issue and haven't heard back from them. The ad you have outside is dangerous! It blocks the view of that very weird crossing and makes merging into the road almost a blind fall of trust. Could you please address to it? Thank you.

Best Sushi in Calgary! Being fron Vancouver I've been trying to search for equivalent quality here in Calgary and i think ive found it! Sushi tasted incredible and service is fantastic. Highly recommend

The food here was not bad. Service was a little bit slow. Had a big patio area. We sat inside however it was facing west as the sun sets. Even with the blinds down, it was still too bright for our eyes. Making us quite uncomfortable. The sashimi slices were quite big and fresh. We really enjoyed them.
