Some desserts are good in the moment… and some stay on your mind long after. I tried Kan You Cake about six months ago after being highly recommended by an old friend who works high up in the baking industry, so my expectations were already pretty high. Somehow, they still exceeded them.
Every cake felt delicate, beautifully balanced, and thoughtfully made. Nothing was overly sweet or overwhelming. Instead, each bite felt light, refined, and honestly just perfect. I loved every flavour I tried, and what really stood out was how they avoid the typical “sugar bomb” experience. You can actually savour the flavours without feeling weighed down.
The presentation is absolutely stunning (see my photo!). You can tell there’s real care and attention put into each individual dessert, making them feel extra special. They’re not just treats, they’re little edible works of art.
If you have a sweet tooth but appreciate something more elegant and balanced, this is a must-try. They’d also make the cutest, most thoughtful gift because they look just as beautiful as they taste. Jess definitely suggests. 🍰✨

absolutely love coming here for a sweet treat. cakes and other desserts are amazing - everything is delicious made with high quality ingredients and doesn’t contain much sugar so you can actually taste components of each dessert. it shows that they put a lot of effort into making everything fresh and with good ingredients, each dessert tastes delicious and it always brings me so much joy to come here. prices are actually pretty good for the quality you pay - i find it really affordable for the quality you get. also their cannele are to die for(never saw them this well done in any other shops) perfectly crunchy outside and chewy inside. roll cakes are extremely light and delicious. tarts are super crunchy with delicate and balanced filling! best confectionery in calgary 🤍

The cakes and fruit tarts suit my taste very well — they are delicate in texture without being greasy, and leave you wanting another bite after finishing. The cream used in the cakes is distinctive, allowing each cake to present its own unique flavor. Overall, the texture is very refined and smooth.☺️

It’s been two years since I last updated my review. I’ve continued to purchase from them regularly, and this time the cake was exceptionally good. The service was also excellent. ↓ 2year ago.. When I need to buy, always shop is closed. But my husband is always open. Overall, its good.

We ate from here twice during our visit and both times Kan You Cake’s roll cakes tasted fresh, cream was well balanced, not overly sweet. The sponge of the cake was soft and delicious. The staff are friendly and attentive. The second time we ordered delivery and the staff followed our request exactly to the T! You can’t go wrong with Kan You Cake—I would love to keep coming back!

We placed our first order with Kan You Cake through Uber Eats today, and it was absolutely incredible! We ordered the Assorted Roll Cake Box and the Assorted Cookies Box, and we were completely blown away 🥹
First of all, the delivery arrived in a thermal bag, which was a very nice touch. Everything looked so beautiful and well-presented. Inside, we found stunning packaging, and to our surprise, there were complimentary gifts included 😍
The desserts themselves were beyond delicious. We tried the roll cakes, and they were simply perfection. The balance of sweetness and the freshness of the fruits was spot-on. Not too sweet, with incredibly fresh fruits that elevated the entire experience. We were shocked to discover such an amazing place here in Calgary. We’re already planning to visit the store in person to enjoy more of their treats!
The Assorted Cookies Box was just as impressive. The cookies were so delicate, soft, and flavorful—like homemade cookies baked with love. They had a perfect, natural taste without being overly sweet.
A special thank you for the complimentary gifts! They included a Far Breton cookie, which was absolutely delicious, and a dessert in a jar made with strawberries, cookies and cream. The dessert was so light, airy, and flavorful, with fresh, crispy strawberries that tasted amazing.
We can’t wait to visit the store in person and try their full assortment. We’re also definitely going to order again. The packaging, the presentation, and, most importantly, the flavors truly impressed us. Highly recommend!!! 💯
