I recently visited Karachi Boys in Calgary, and unfortunately, it didn’t live up to expectations. While the atmosphere was casual and inviting, the food and service left much to be desired.

First off, the prices are definitely on the higher end compared to the quality and taste of the food. I’ve been to other similar restaurants in the area that offer much better value for your money. The dishes, while decent, didn’t stand out enough to justify the hefty price tag. If you’re looking for flavorful and well-priced Pakistani or South Asian cuisine, there are other spots in the area that deliver more bang for your buck.

Another downside was the service. Their behavior made the environment feel a little intrusive—like there was no privacy at all. The staff were constantly hovering, which made it difficult to relax and enjoy the meal.

Overall, while Karachi Boys may have potential, I wasn’t impressed with my visit. Between the overpriced menu, unenthusiastic service, and lack of privacy, I’d recommend checking out other similar restaurants in Calgary that offer a better experience at a more reasonable price.

Unfortunately I visited karahi boys Calgary with family and guests, they served RAW NAANS with other food items,we asked them for replacement, they served 6 naans instead of 8 we ordered at beginning, when we asked for 2 more Naas , server said she had put naans, when we insisted for 2 more, SHE SAID SHE WILL CHECK CAMERA to prove us liar, then we asked for manager, she HARMAN , Claimed herself supervisor, refused to call manager.
It was totally disappointing.we paid full amount around $333 and left restaurant with in mind will never come back again.

Extremely Disappointed – Never Returning

We’ve been regular customers of Karahi Boys Calgary, but after today’s experience, we will never go back. We brought a guest from Toronto and ended up completely embarrassed over a petty dispute — two naans— on a bill that was over $330.

We calmly mentioned the discrepancy, only to be accused of lying. The waitress told us the restaurant manager refused to come speak to us, and instead, the kitchen manager would “check the cameras” to verify how many naan we received. Seriously? Over two naan?

For a place that charges some of the highest prices in town, we expected at least a basic level of respect and customer service — especially from a business we’ve supported consistently.

It was insulting, humiliating, and completely unacceptable. You’ve lost loyal customers today, and we’ll be sharing this experience with friends, family, and anyone else looking for a trustworthy dining spot in Calgary.

I recently visited Karahi Boys with my family after traveling from Toronto and was very disappointed with the service. We were wrongly told we received items we didn’t, and were accused of lying. When we asked about it, we were told the kitchen cameras would be checked. After some back and forth, Harman clarified that she meant the kitchen camera, not dining area.

The server mentioned they were training others and had internal issues, while the manager refused to speak with us. Eventually, the missing items were brought out clearly a mistake on their end. This is not the experience any customer should go through. Accusing guests instead of resolving the issue professionally is unacceptable.

Not recommending this spot

Terrible Experience – Got Food Poisoning!

We visited Karahi Boys on Monday and had an awful experience. My brother ordered the chicken nuggets, and we also had Karahi and Chapli Kababs . Unfortunately, all of us ended up with a stomach infection and doing continuously vomiting since from Monday night and just came from hospital after eating there. This is completely unacceptable!

The food quality and hygiene standards seem questionable, and we wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. If they don’t improve their food safety, more people will suffer the same experience. Avoid this place unless they take hygiene seriously!

Yesterday, we visited Karahi Boys during iftar time. The restaurant was busy, but not overwhelmingly so—nothing they shouldn’t have been able to handle. We ordered chicken haleem, charsi karahi chicken, and two garlic naans. The chicken haleem and garlic naans arrived first, but we had to wait an additional 10 minutes for the karahi chicken. By then, the naan had gone cold. When the karahi chicken finally arrived, it was undercooked. We flagged this to our server, Rojina, who said she’d send the manager to check. A man—who we assume was either the manager or owner—came over and told her they could make a new one if we wanted. We agreed, but that meant another 15-minute wait. You can imagine the state of the naan by then—stone cold and practically inedible. The management needs to realize that not every customer is chasing discounts or refunds. We’re paying for quality. How can they expect anyone to enjoy a meal with cold naan and poorly cooked chicken? Honestly, it’s disappointing. A year ago, we used to visit this place every week, but the decline in service and food quality is glaring. Good luck to them with this kind of management—I’m not sure how long they’ll keep customers coming back.

We ordered Ramadan Family Platter with naan and tandoori roti additional items. For karahi choice, we chose charsi. Almost all items except veg samosas were without any taste, - karahi had some sort of smell which forced most of us not to eat. It had no taste of its own, seekh kebab and chicken piece had some taste.

Overall, very disappointing experience. I have dined in several time, at times if food is not of taste can replace that. But, with this order (take away) had no choice to replace! Based on this experience, we won’t recommend at least Ramadan Family Platter.

Food and service was excellent. If you’re going for iftaar there is barely dates and pakoras there. And most importantly, there is not sufficient provision to offer namaz / prayer. Front staff is totally disconnected from Muslim’s requirement of prayers and kept on sending people to bakery, with poker face, which barely has room for single prayer mat.

We always to go this place, as we feel connected, food is great. But they have new manager, white girl Maya. She is so rude. No customer service skills at all. Barely say hi to anyone, may be she was in bad mood that day. She was chewing gum with open mouth, threw menu in front of us, (without saying a word). And then left. She was going in and out of kitchen in same condition without covering her head.

May be so also don’t understand the culture the food, where she is working. She don’t understand type of customer.

Seriously, the worst customer service ever! We never got our starter, they just dumped the food and left. Then they made us pay the full bill, even for the stuff we didn't get! Harman was so rude, saying she'd give us cash back after we paid by card! And Maya, the manager? She was yelling at us! It was the worst restaurant experience ever. They messed up, then claimed the bill was closed and couldn't do anything. Harman said the manager wasn't there, but Maya was hiding up front! Don't go there if you want decent service.

Make sure you check your bill before you pay here because they are ripping of people without giving the food want us to pay...
