“Honestly, this place used to be close to my home on Edmonton Trail near downtown, but since they relocated to the Calgary Farmers’ Market, I make sure to visit whenever I’m seriously craving shawarma. The staff is incredibly friendly, the ambience is great, and the food quality is outstanding.
Special shoutout ❤️‍🔥 to the white gentleman working there😎he’s a good friend of mine and truly knows how to treat customers with respect and warmth.

The potato naan was an awesome discovery and peered with their classic butter chicken it is just life...and gets better the day after for leftovers.
The lamb curry is perfection and you do get to moderate the heat level in the dishes here so have no fear.
Ridiculously affordable, well portioned as very rich in flavor profile so go easy loading up your plates.
Not a massive restaurant but can easily take a group of 4 last minute..I love the take out to allow room for diners out for the evening on 17th Ave SE“

“Just visiting Calgary from the states for a couple of days and I wanted to have a kebab. I ended up going here even though it was around 22 Kilometers away from my Airbnb. 110% worth it, the food was delicious. It was so good I ended up getting a second shawarma wrap and the owner gave me a free baklava. He’s very kind and very easy to converse with. Definitely had a good conversation that lasted a while haha. 10/10 I will definitely be coming back next time I’m in Calgary“

I was actually having a bad day when I came here and their mango lassi which was enthusiastically recommended by one of their staff, almost instantly lifted my mood!
I got their chicken vepuda with rice and it tasted amazing—my fam even said so. The marinated chicken, even if it was not saucy, was so tender and juicy! I ordered their mysore masala dosa and it was super duper good—I finished it all alone ehe!

I love Indian food and Raj Palace is one of the best restaurants I have ever been into. I would definitely bring my indian friends here one of these days! Helpful and welcoming staff, and tasty food.“
